Lyon went to get his car when he saw Scarlett handing out flyers,he frowned immediately.
Why is she handing out flyers with a layer of bandage still around her neck?
He went towards her but stopped when he saw two men talking to her and she looked scared for some reason.
When Lyon looked at the two men he realized they are not students and definitely can't be a worker with their dressing manners.
He walked closer " you better pray you get the money soon or I will sell you to a brothel,cheap s**t" the man sneered.
"I wasn't the one who borrowed money from you guys,it's my uncle,why should I pay then?" She tried to act bravely but she's clearly scared.
" I don't care,you name was on the paper and you signed it,the interest alongside the money is now 20 million,I won't take no for an answer next time,and your parents should be able to get me some money if I sell them as well" the man wanted to continue but stopped suddenly realizing Lyon had been staring at them.
"Who are you?" He asked frowning, Scarlett also looked up and was shocked to see him.
"Are you guys from the loan shark ??" He asked and the two men looked at each other then nodded.
"When is her payment due?" He asked calmly " in a month's time" the man replied.
"She still has a month,why are you harassing her?" His gaze turned dangerously cold immediately.
"Watch your tone kid, she's trying to dodge the payment,why should we not harass her?" The one who seemed to be the older one, the two men said.
"Not like she's that pretty, only her boobs and butt are big to my liking," the younger one said.
Lyon didn't say another word and directly punched the younger one while Scarlett gasped.
"Bastard! How dare you?" The two men yelled and moved forward to attack him.
"A step closer to him and you will be lying dead soon" a cold command rang from behind them.
Two guys holding guns came into view and the two men quickly moved away from Lyon.
"Give them twenty millions" he said to the two securities " and you,if I ever see you anywhere around her,I will make your lives miserable" he threatened and pulled Scarlett away.
He took her to his car and turned to face her "why are you handing out flyers before you are ok?" He asked.
"I'm trying to find a part-time job,no one is willing to pay much for a half damaged restaurant and the loan shark won't leave me alone.I had to secretly send mom and dad to another house since they threatened them as well" she said.
"I've paid them, don't do this again " Lyon said " I will have to pay you back, thank you " she smiled forcefully.
"You don't have to " he said without thinking" what?' Scarlett nearly screamed.
"I mean, I've gotten into trouble many times and you helped me without asking for anything in return,count that as my repayment" he said.
" No way, everything I've given you all together won't add up to even a hundred thousand and you gave me twenty millions" she said a little anxious.
Lyon placed both hands on her shoulder " calm down Scarlett,you don't know how important those things you gave me were,I won't be taking a repayment" he said firmly.
Scarlett's eyes became teary and she hugged him "thank you, thank you, thank you so much Lyon" she cried silently while Lyon hugged her back and tried to comfort her.
Unknown to the two of them, Amber, who was also going to get her car and went home, came by.
She saw them hugging so intimately and quickly hid beside her car grinding her teeth.
"Who is she? Is that his girlfriend?" She asked herself while glaring at Scarlett.
"Let me take you home then" Lyon slowly disengaged from the hug,wiped off her tears and took her to the car.
They both left immediately and Amber finally came out of her hiding.
"How am I supposed to do anything when he actually has a girlfriend,this is so frustrating" she clenched her fists.
I won't give up so easily,my whole future is at stake if my dad loses his company " she said determined.
She contemplated it for a while then decided to actually follow him while making sure he didn't notice her.
"I can't let him realize it,I will just find his house and drive off at once" she assured herself of her plan again and again.
As soon as she saw his last turn, which doesn't look like a place he would say,she could only drive away in defeat.
