Sebastian’s POV:
My irritation and contempt started the moment I saw Kade's arms wrapped around Mona's waist as they entered the dining room.
They walked in with Mona giggling at whatever nonsense he kept whispering in her ear. Her laugh was so attention-grabbing that when they entered the quiet room where the rest of us were already seated, every gaze turned to them.
I watched everyone exchange greetings as they made their way to the empty chairs.
All eyes were on them as Kade pulled out her chair for her. The smiles on both of their faces finally began to fade as Mona sat down. Just when I thought their shenanigans were over, he bent to her ear again and whispered something else and just again, Mona burst into another giggle.
What the hell was he even telling her? I knew for a fact Kade wasn’t that funny.
My blood began to boil as they kept flirting across the table, even while everyone else was still eating. This night was supposed to be about Keisha, and somehow they'd managed to make it all about themselves.
The sight was almost.. revolting.
I tried to hide my irritation as they carried on, my composure shattering with each second. But the moment Mona met my gaze, gave me a scornful look, then winked at Kade—that was when I lost it.
I immediately slammed my cutlery onto the table and stood up, anger flaring within me.
What was she even trying to do? Make me jealous? If that was the reason for these theatrics, she'd failed. Massively.
And my son? Shameless.
I saw the way he bit his lip when Mona winked at him. They couldn't even try to control themselves in front of the family. There was no way I was going to continue watching that disrespect.
I pushed my chair back and, with one last warning look at Kade, I stormed out.
By the time I reached my chambers, I lit a cigar and went to the balcony for fresh air. I couldn't wait for the wedding preparations and ceremonies to be over so I could stop seeing Mona's face. Lowering herself to be with my son, thinking it would spite me? Pathetic.
And as for my son, I definitely needed to teach him some manners. It seemed he had lost them entirely.
After almost an hour of trying to clear my head with the cigar I'd been smoking, I crushed it into the small bowl on the balcony railing. Smoking wasn't helping anymore. Not since this damn woman got here. I just needed her gone. Or so I thought.
After some contemplation on how to calm the angry, raving wolf in me, I finally decided to have a bath. Let the water run over me. Clear my head. Hopefully, that would work.
I stepped into the shower and let the water pour over my body. It wasn’t too long after that I felt myself actually calming down. By the time I was done, I felt a lot better.
Honestly.
Well, better for that brief moment.
Because just as I was drying myself off after stepping out of the shower, I heard it.
"Ughhh, f**k!"
What the—
My head immediately snapped toward the direction of the sound. And that was infact when I saw her.
Mona.
She stood completely naked, her head tilted back like she was staring at the ceiling, her mouth slightly ajar. Her full breasts and erect pink n*****s were the first thing I noticed—bouncing slightly on her chest as she pulled her head back. That was what my eyes landed on first before they began to wander lower.
Her legs were spread apart, one balanced on a higher surface, the other on the floor. Her moderately shaved p***y was fully exposed.
I was still trying to process what I was seeing when she pulled a candle from inside her cunt.
Oh, s**t.
The way she slowly slid it out, one hand now gripping her breast as she did, made my d**k stir.
Fuck.
The moment she completely pulled it out, she let out a fresh breath, her head falling forward. And it was in that moment, her gaze landed directly on me.
Our eyes met.
The moment our eyes met, she yanked her curtains shut.
I didn't understand what the f**k was happening. What kind of game was this b***h playing?
Was she trying to tease me?
Fuck. The memory of her naked in front of that window kept playing on a loop in my head as I stared at the closed curtains. My d**k hardened as I envisioned everything I wanted to do to her in that moment.
I was still staring when a knock at my door snapped me out of it.
"What was I doing?" I whispered, dragging a hand down my face.
This was definitely some sort of trap. She was intentionally doing this to lure me, and I was actually falling for it. Hell no. I couldn't let this happen.
*BANG. BANG. BANG*
The knock came again. But this time, harder.
I hurriedly tied my towel around my waist and went to see who could possibly be at my door this late.
The moment I opened it—
"Keisha?" I stared at her in shock. I was expecting anyone but her.
"Hi... Uncle." She dragged the word out, her face twisted in confusion as she looked me up and down. "Did I—did I interrupt something?"
"N-not at all." I forced a smile, adjusting the towel on my waist.
"Okay..." She dragged the word out, still looking at me with suspicion. "Uhm... can I come in?"
"Sure." I stepped aside, and she made her way inside. Once she was fully in, I shut the door behind her.
An awkward silence settled between us.
"Ahem.” I cleared my throat before speaking again. “I hope you're okay?"
She took a deep breath. "Yes, Uncle. I just... well, I just have some concerns."
"Concerns?" I asked, confused about what this was about—and why they were urgent enough to discuss this late at night.
"Yes, Uncle. Concerns." She put one hand on her hip, rubbing her temple with the other. "You seemed really angry earlier at my farewell dinner. Was it because—“
"Oh. That." I cut her off, realization dawning.
"Yes, Uncle Sebastian. Exactly that." She nodded.
"Well..." I moved closer, rubbing her shoulders in what I hoped was a reassuring gesture. "I received a rather unfortunate text from Beta Charles. The pack is—"
"You don't need to lie to me, Uncle. I already found out."
Fuck.
