I jolted awake, darting up immediately. I took in ragged breaths as the cool air hit my body.
My breath hitched once it all came to me. Where was I?
Panic clutched at me as I looked around the dimly lit place trying to make sense of what had just happened. But as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, a startling realisation came to me.
I was in my room.
My gaze fell to the sheets, finding my familiar sheets all around me.
I was back in my own bed, safe and sound.
'What the hell?' I wondered, my breaths still came out shaky as I looked around.
