Alexander I walked through the hallways in silence, letting it sink in for the moment as I trailed to my private office. Opening the door, I stopped in my tracks as I met his gaze. Nathan was waiting for me on the other side but I had already expected it. Even before stepping into the door I could already hear his heartbeat. He stood beside my desk, hands folded and eyes glaring. I stepped in, shutting the door behind me in a resigned motion. "Alex," his voice rang amidst the silence.
