My eyes were glued to Nora. I found it hard to believe what she was saying. How is that even possible? Dennis had been my friend in the business world for a long time, but I always found it difficult to approach him about anything personal.
How did Nora do it? To the extent of making him Jacob's tool?
Nora's soft laughter pulled me back from my thoughts. I was sure she was laughing at my bewildered expression.
