If Looks Could Kill

I walked into the house and looked back to see that he was still in the drive way. I smiled and then waved him a goodbye.

He waved back and then pulled out. I walked back up to my room and closed the door. I went to turn the light on and was almost died.

“Cody what the hell are you doing here. And in my room of all places.” I pushed myself to the door as much as I could incase i needed to run for it.

He walked up to me. “Listen to this.” He throw the phone at me.

“What is it?” I asked with a little bit of fear.

“Just listen you have to help me get Kaylee back Ari, she means the world to me. I can’t lose her. I need her back.”

“Why do you think I will listen to something you say after everything you have said to me?” i looked at the phone.

“It’s from the talk that I had with Michelle tonight before I came here.”

I looked at him and then down at the phone. For some reason I could hear in his voice how much he wanted Kaylee back.

I pushed play and Michelle voice came to play.

“Are you sure that you want to do that Cody?” She asked.

“Yes I do. Kaylee means the world to me and I would do anything to have her back.” He replied.

“So you want the whole school to know about what you did.” I looked up to meet Cody’s eyes. What was she talking about?

 I listen to the rest of their conversation and by the end I know why Cody was acting this way to me. Michelle was black mailing him and making him sleep with her. 

“Cody. I-“ I didn’t know what to tell him or even say.

He looked at me. I didnt know what else to do. So I went to hug him. As my arms were almost around him Brandon walked in.

The look on his face was like he was going to kill him.

“Brandon stop.” I moved in front out him.

“Arianna what’s going on here?” He said. Breathing through his nose. If this wasn't real life I'm sure his face would be red and steam coming from his ears and nose.

“Brandon, Cody just stopped by to tell me that he was being black mailed.”

“By?” He asked as I walked over into his arms.  He opened his arms to me. It felt so right but so wrong at the same time to be in his arms.

“Michelle, Brandon I’ve been being black mailed and forces to sleep with her. You know at first I was okay with it but then I meant Kaylee and know she is all I want. She is the only one that I want. I’m in love with her.” Cody looked like he was going to pass out.

“Prove it. Or get out of this house before I kick your f*****g ass you understand that Cody. You have hurt Arianna too much and you still have done things that I will never forgive you for. So prove to me that and I won’t kick your ass.”

He handed Brandon the phone.

“What is this?” Brandon asked.

“It’s the proof that you are asking for.” I said slowly.

He pushed play and listened to the conversation between Michelle and Cody, Brandon didn’t look like he wanted to kill Cody anymore. But the steam was still coming I could tell. 

“That’s why you left?” Brandon asked.

“Yeah and I’m not too happy about what I did to have to leave you guys. I want to tell Kaylee but she not talking to me.”

“Cody she needs time. I know that it would kill me if I learned something like that. Just give her time.” I said. But really I don’t know what to think if Brandon was to do that to me. I mean he was cheating on his girlfriend that the school know to be with me his ex-best-friend.

“You have no idea how much it kills me not to be with her right now. I don’t even know where she is.”

“She is with her mom Cody. When she found out about what happen between you and Kaylee she packed Kaylee a bag and left town for a few days. She is coming back. She should be back by now.” I said.

“Okay will I’m going to go see if I can talk to her and show her this. I need her back. I can’t live without her.” After he said that he walked out of my room and out of the house. Once I heard the front door close I turned a kissed Brandon.

“I know that you are still mad at him but you heard it yourself.  He is being black mailed by Michelle. Michelle is using him for s*x. He doesn’t love her he loves Kaylee. I know that. I could tell the hurt in his voice, in his eyes. “

“I know that Ari but he hit you. Threaten you. Ari he was going to r**e you.” I flinched at that. I don't think Cody was ever going to actually going to do that. 

“Brandon that’s the thing is it was only a threat. He wasn’t going to act on it.”

“Baby listen to me. He is still with Michelle. He slept with her tonight. Before he came here. He claimed throw your window for crying out loud.” He then added. “I still don’t trust him around you. Next time he is please let me know. I have a feeling he is leading you on and I don’t. No I can’t have something happen to you. It would kill me if something happened to you.”
