Inigo retreated and headed towards the mansion at the Bethia Kingdom. Looking infuriated, he walked quickly with rough steps. All the maids that he encountered shivered when they met his piercing gaze.
Arriving at the front door of the office of the Captain, he forcibly opened it creating a loud bang, making the two people inside startled lightly. Ethan almost choked on his coffee.
“What’s with that attitude?” Ethan rebuked with a tone equal to Inigo’s irritation.
“The Demon Lord attacks me while I’m in the Estate.” He said promptly, behind his voice is full of infuriation.
“So what? That doesn’t give you the right to open the door like that, who do you think you’re walking up to?”
Jon in his casual attire glared at Inigo, his crimson-burning eyes filled with loftiness chided Inigo.
But Inigo remained unfazed, the fact that he is not intimidated by Jon means they are on equal terms.
“So, what of Demon Lord? Did he attack you?”
Ethan asked simply without a hint of worriedness and concern as if the Demon Lord is of trivial matter.
“Yeah, he attacked me when I was alone in that Estate and give him a beating, and yet…”
His body is shaking in anger, Ethan figured out why he was acting like that, it was just one of the facts about him when he was a player.
When he starts acting like that means something happened in his battle.
“He escaped right?”
“Yes, that f*cking Demon Lord, I will F him up so tell me his location and don’t try to stop me…”
His behavior is justified to the real behavior of Inigo because he never lets go of his enemies whenever they put up a fight against him, the moment you’re in a battle with Inigo can lead to two endings: One is defeating him and two is him defeating you. As a Saint Class who has some skills that can put up a fight with other classes, most of his enemies will be dead before even making a move on their mice and keyboards.
“Then how do you plan on fighting the Demon Lord? They say that the Demon Lord is the most formidable enemy in this world…”
“No, he is not.”
A voice turned the room in silence as a magic circle was drawn two meters in front of him. Judging from the color of the light which is violet, Ethan figured out that it was a teleportation scroll.
It seems like the voice came out from there.
They didn’t assume a battle stance since they knew what was coming in that magic circle.
Then moments later, four figures protruded from the earth, filled in violet light. As the light falters out, they found out that it was Manuel, Jericho, and Jasper along with someone they don’t know.
That was the time they assumed a battle stance.
Jon warping the space behind him in golden radiance, Ethan covertly reaching to the hilt of his sword, and Inigo materializing his wand on his right hand.
“Calm down...she is not an enemy.”
Jericho prompted out immediately after sensing malice from the three. However, the girl reflexively hides at the back of Jericho as her legs shivered in fear.
‘Who are those people? Their magical energy is off the scale…it felt like I sensed this before...from Jasper and his two friends.’
Looking alternatively to the three battle gods, she was able to confirm that it was coming out from them.
‘Such power...even by just glancing, I can feel their power. I will not stand a chance fighting nor will be able to escape in this mansion.’
Noticing a frightened expression of the little girl, Ethan glanced at the two, prompting them to sheathe their weapons.
“Who is that little girl?” Ethan asked.
A sudden thought surfaced on Jasper’s mind...calling her little girl will result in a calamity…
However—the girl that Ethan was referring to didn’t even dare to move as cold sweats began to form on her forehead.
“Seriously?” Jasper said dumbfounded, her sight is only focused on the direction of Ethan…
“Ohh…” Exclaimed lightly, Jasper figured out why she is acting out of character—She is scared of Ethan.
Though it was just a simple conjecture.
‘That man is dangerous...My body froze the moment I tried to reach for the hilt of my sword—it felt like he would s***h me the moment I slightly moved my muscles to reach for it...This is my first time experiencing a dominating aura.’
“Ethan I’ll go downstairs to take a bath, I’ll leave her in your care,” Jericho said and left the room.
“Me too, I’ll be going downstairs to get some air.” Manuel followed Jericho.
Even though the two left, it still didn’t wave the aura coming out from Ethan...was it intrinsic and natural? Not being able to speak due to his overwhelming presence, Jasper speaks in her stead.
“Her name is Kirin from the Paiven Empire, I believe she has crucial information about the history of this world.”
The three battle gods in the office opened their eyes widely in shock. Jasper said that he has some information about the history of this world managed to get their interest.
However—
“Oy Captain, I want to settle the score with that Demon Lord” He protested, “How dare he cowardly retreat to his mother before I was about to unleash my power...No—I’ll just give him a visit so tell me where the Demon Lord’s domain is?”
A young voice of a man snapped Kirin back to her senses and consciously glanced over her shoulder. What she saw was a fine young man, a firm body, sharp eyes, and a handsome allure. About his age, he is probably two years older than her.
Captivated by his charming angel-like face. Kirin opened her mouth in admiration.
Inigo noticed her looking weird to him.
“You girl, where is the Demon Lord’s Domain?”
“It's on the east of this continent.”
Spaced out from a second, she inadvertently mouthed out the answer. Inigo turned his head to the right, though his sight is just nothing but a cement wall, to Inigo, it's a direction of the eastern side of the continent.
“I see, thank you Kirin, I would never forget your kindness.” Inigo left the room and headed towards the east.”
“So stupid,” Ethan muttered to himself and prompted his menu to call someone.
“Samantha please stop Inigo at all cost.”
Then he cuts the transmission after delivering his message. Now, turning his head to the front where the little girl was. He interlaced his hand and leaned forward.
“So, what information of the history are you offering?”
Kirin in her calmed state began telling him the history of this world as same as the history she told to Jasper.
Nodding along with her story, Ethan seems to understand and felt enlightened.
“Kirin, thank you for such an insight about the history of this world, we are truly an ignorant one so please forgive us.”
“No need to apologize, Sir Ethan, after all, you were the prophesied warriors by our great seer.” She fumbled her hand.
“Prophesied huh? Based on your story these Otherworldly Heroes were summoned by a ritual of powerful mages in each country. But how we got here is not how you described.” He leaned back to his seat taking a serious stance, “We stumbled our way here by entering a dungeon, not by summoning. I believe that there is a flaw in your story. Based also on your story the prophesied warriors are summoned right. So can you be certain that we are the prophecy?”
“Though the summoning failed, the incantation of the ritual still succeeded. If it fails then it will have a huge drawback such as an explosion of the unstable magic source but it didn’t happen. The summoning worked but in a different way.” Kirin replied firmly with a theoretical guess.
“But how can you be so certain that it was the summoned warriors?”
“Before I answer you, may I ask a question relevant to this topic?”
“Hoh, what an intuitive young girl,” He praised genuinely, “Okay you may ask anything.”
“Sir Ethan, are you from another world?”
“Yes.”
Ethan replied without hesitation. Jon looked at Ethan firmly.
“Captain, are you really sure about telling us our identity?” Jon was wary about the effect of disclosing their real identity so he asked Ethan for clarification.
“Of course, if it's important and related to our transmigration, I am happy to disclose anything,” Ethan said with a firm voice.
“Okay.” Jon respected his answer.
“I see so you were transmigrated in this world huh? I see, then let me answer your question. We are certain that you’re the prophesied warriors from another world that will help us fight the disaster that the three Deities will unleash upon us.”
“In short Captain, we are a summoned servant in this world, a servant with one goal. To defeat them and return to our world.” Jasper added.
“Servant huh?” Ethan curled his lips, “I don’t like being a subordinate of someone weaker than me. Well anyway, I’m glad that it didn’t happen.” Ethan exclaimed, waving his hand.
“Our royal prince must speak with the King of Bethia regarding this matter. In a week there will be a meeting of the leaders around this continent. The reason I ask sir Jasper to meet you is that you’re the leader, the revered Captain of the guild. My goal is to convince you to help us on this inevitable doom which will happen in two weeks' time.”
Suddenly Kirin prostrated, her forehead kissing the ground.
Ethan saw the will and resolve of this young girl. Seeing her like that made him sigh deeply.
“Well to tell you the truth, we don’t care what will happen in this world since this is not our world. But...I may be contradicting myself here, this world is our temporary world, when someone threatens to destroy it even if they are a supreme being, we will never let them get away.”
Ethan said that shines a light on Kirin’s heart, even though it was an implication of them helping, just his words made her heart at ease.
“Celebrate little girl, we will help you to fight those supreme deities, I got tired of fighting the weak and hope to find someone that will awaken our thirst for battle,” Jon said.
“Jon is correct, but since the world is at stake here, we will not act upon our selfish desires. We will help you through this inevitable doom of yours. So, where do we start?” Jericho said.
“We will tell you about the official plan once the banquet of kings concluded which will happen next week, I’ll be in touch.”
“Jon, inform all our members to get ready for a battle in the next two weeks.”
“Okay.” Jon nodded and used the system to contact the rest of the battle gods.
Meanwhile, just outside the mansion. Inigo discreetly trying to leave. Just as he was about to unleash his flight magic—Something happened.
“Where do you think you’re going, Inigo? Fufufu, are you going to leave your big sister behind?”
A soothing yet deadly voice sounded, a deadly aura emanated from her. Though he can escape by just jumping off but he can’t since a pressure that deadly scared him.
“Sister Samantha, please let me go just this once, I just need to settle the score…”
“Settle a score? To whom?”
“The Demon Lord.”
Hearing his answer, Samantha frowned and materialized her staff on her right hand and pointed the tip of it towards Inigo.
“[Astral Bind]”
A dark-red metallic band protruded from the earth and immediately chained Inigo’s bodies and were wrapped around by a tough chain.
Though he can easily get away from these chains by just casting his [Dispel] however just as he was about to do so, a voice stopped him.
“Don’t even try to use that skill, because if you do. I’ll get angry.”
It was not a scary voice but a concerned voice as if Samantha was chiding her little brother for committing something bad in the future.
“I don’t like you acting so brave just because we are in our avatar... It doesn’t guarantee our safety—The Demon Lord that you speak of is said to be the strongest entity in the demon race. I will never give you my permission even if the other eleven agrees.”
“Sister.”
Realizing his mistake, he heard a soft footstep coming towards him. He cannot even glance behind since he was restricted by the chains. He can only sense her presence.
Then Samantha appeared in front of him and extended her two hands and placed it onto his delicate young face.
With a dejected expression, Inigo looked down, can’t even look Samantha in the eyes. It seems that he reflected upon his decision on going towards the Demon Lord Domain.
“I’m sorry sister…” he said weakly...
Samantha smiled upon hearing his sincere apology and removed the chains that are binding him.
“Don’t ever do that again or think about it again. I’ll get really sad as your sister okay?”
“Okay sister Sam, I promise.”
