(Brandon's POV).
"Brandon! Brandon! Brandon! Wake up!"
Ivone, my mom, knocked on my bedroom door in the morning. It seemed so urgent, and I was sure she had been running around to get to my room.
I opened the door, and she had a panicked look on her face.
"What's wrong, Mom? You're disturbing my sleep, you know."
I protested, but not really, because I was sure she had something to talk about anyway.
"Did you see the news this morning?" she asked.
I raised one eyebrow. "I just woke up, Mom. And even then, you woke me up. How could I have seen the news already?"
She walked into my room, barging in unceremoniously, and turned on my television.
"Come here and watch this!"
As I approached, I focused on the news my mom was playing. My eyes widened in shock as I fully
