Natalie, I put my hand above my mouth as I watched him turn around and search for me. Stupid! I should have never come here. But I needed to see him one last time before I disappeared entirely. I don’t know what was I waiting for, but it wasn’t seeing him like this. I thought that he will forget about me and return back to his old life and just be the man who gives no s**t about anything. But what I saw just now wasn’t it at all. He was still thinking about me. “Time will heal and he will forget. Trust me.” Emma said from my right and I closed my eyes, shuddering a deep breath, then I nodded at her. We went to her car, and she drove us back to her small apartment. She had found me crying in the elevator and when I told her that I wanted to see Derek; she insisted on coming with me.
