I woke to the sound of rain. It wasn’t something new, since it was the season for it. Even when I lived with the rogues at my father’s camp we had to deal with the rainy season. More inside training instead of outside training, those of us who were in charge of leading the training had to hope that our warriors were doing what they were supposed to be doing so they stayed in shape. School started, and I could hear the soft shush of Tessa to the kids as she led them down the hallway past my door and down the stairs.
