Alpha Xavier and Lucas had a change of plans, since they felt the most powerful and popular, they needed to make it open rather than using their Warewolf.

They drove to the academy, and had met with the guard, thesame that was instructed by Alpha Koen to permit Xavier and Lucas go with her. But the guard pretended to be strict with them, he knew that Alpha Xavier wouod not stop down taking Luna out. He also knew that Alpha Koen had given his consent to him the guard. Aslong as Luna returned before nightfall. “We are Alpha Xavier and Alpha Lucas, from the Blackwood pack." "You have no right to stop us from taking Luna out." " We dominate this pack, including you. We don’t need any permission.” Lucas said it arrogantly to the guard.Luna stood there, looking at them with a mix of curiosity and fear. She was told to get in the car, and they drove off.

" Why the sudden change of plan?" Luna asked while in the car.

" We own this city,, no one stopped us from getting or going for want we want." Lucas answered her.

A few minutes later, Alpha Ashford and his brother arrived at the academy. They had come to see Luna again and to find out who she had chosen to Contract with. They saw Alpha Xavier and Lucas’s cars leaving the academy grounds and assumed that they had come to talk to Koen. Meanwhile, Koen was watching all that was happening from his office, where he had a live feed of the cameras when Luna left with them. He had allowed Luna to go out with with Xavier and Lucas hoping that she would not spend the night with them. Koen acting possessive and dominant before Alpha Xavier and alpha Lucas previously in his office, was to show his sovereignty as the headmaster of the academy, not be intimated by Xavier non his brother Lucas influence and power. Koen wondered what Luna was feeling and if she had any feelings for him. He felt a pang of jealousy and regret, wishing that he had been more honest with her. He decided to call Luna and see how she was doing. He picked up his phone and dialed Xavier number. He hoped that Xavier would answer and that he would not be too angry with him. Koen wanted to hear Luna voice and to know how she was doing, also speaking on how he have missed Luna present within the few minutes she have left.

Alpha Xavier heard his phone ring and saw that it was Koen. He wonders what has made him call.

"Has he watched us move with her, or has the guard told him about the scene?" Xavier didn't mind, he wondered for some time and decided to answer. He pressed the green button and put the phone in his ear. “Hello?” Xavier said, trying to sound calm and indifferent.

“Hi, Xavier. It’s me, Koen.” Koen answered, sounding nervous and hopeful. "Can I speak with Luna?" He requested.

"How do you mean she is not with us?." " Besides, is she under our care?" Xavier answered, about to cut the call, when Luna overheard the conversation and decided to speak with Koen.

"It is me, Luna," she answered with confidence, after taking the phone from Xavier hands.

Koen got his hearing relaxed and continued to have a conversation with Luna. "How are you? Where are you?." He beat around the bush before Luna ears with several questions.

“I’m fine, thanks." "I’m with Alpha Xavier and Alpha Lucas. They took me out for lunch.” Luna said. Meanwhile she did not want to give Koen too much information of her way about with the Blackwood's.

“Oh, I see. How are they treating you? Are you having a good time?” Koen asked, trying to sound casual and friendly.

“They’re treating me well, I guess." "They’re very nice and charming." " They’re showing me around the city and telling me about their pack.” She said, feeling a bit guilty for lying to him.

“That’s good to hear. I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself.” Koen said this, feeling a twinge of pain in his chest. He wished he could be with her and show her how much he cared for her. “Listen, Luna, I wanted to talk to you about something. Something important.”

“What is it?” She asked, feeling curious and anxious on phone.

“I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry for denying you this opportunity earlier." "I know I have deprived you of this, and I didn’t mean to hurt you. I was just trying to protect you from them. At thesame time protect you from danger." "They don’t deserve you.” He said this to Luna, Koen speaking to distract Luna.

“Protect me from them? What do you mean? They’re not bad people, Koen." "They’re just different from you.” She said this, feeling confused and defensive.

“They’re not different, Luna." " They’re dangerous. They have a dark history and a dark agenda. They want to use you for their own benefit." " They don’t care about you or your feelings. They only want your power.” He said this, trying to warn her.

“My power? What power? What power when everyone sees me as a curse mate?."Luna asked Koen on phone feeling more confused and scared.

“Your power as a Luna; you have a special gift, Luna." "A gift that can change the world. A gift that can bring peace and harmony to all the packs." "A gift that can make you the most powerful and respected person in the world." Koen becoming more jealous, trying to make her understand and using that to indirectly express his love for her.

“What are you talking about? I don’t have any power. I’m just a normal girl." Luna said this, feeling overwhelmed and doubtful. At thesame time Xavier and Lucas wonder what manner of conversation Luna was having with Koen that have lasted longer.

“No, Luna.You’re not normal. You’re extraordinary. You’re the chosen one." "The one who can unite all the wolves under one banner," koen speaking as a deer.

"What banner?" Luna asked, still confused.

Koen was short of words; he couldn't defend himself again.

"Can you please talk?" She asked him on the phone, but Koen was silent.

"What does he want now?." "Has he called to ask you back immediately?" Alpha Xavier asked Luna, which was after she have ended the call with Koen.

" Nevermind." She told Xavier.

"He is cunning and not straight-forward; what does he mean?" Luna asked herself right away.

"You look worried, are you scared of him?" Alpha Lucas asked.

"I am old enough to be scared in such a manner." She answered Lucas.

Luna was taken around the town, where she saw some amazing things. And had a nice time with them. Xavier made her feel happy; aside from that, she was introduced to Alpha Xavier and Lucas friends as his intending mate.

Meanwhile, Ashford and his brothers had found out that Luna had left the camp with the Blackwoods. "Were they spying on us? How did they know we were planning the same thing for her?." " Luna going with them is a sign that she might sign a contract with them. And when that happens, we lose her for the blackwood's." Ashford said angrily. "We need to talk to Koen." He added, and he led his brothers to Koen’s office. "We respected you; we thought you would do the same for us, but instead you betrayed us." "How are you connected to the Blackwoods Pack?." We couldn’t find Luna in her room, and when we asked, we were told she left with the Blackwoods for a date. Koen, what is the meaning of this? She was supposed to contract with us, not the Blackwoods pack." Ashford became uoset.

"Luna has not chosen her mate yet; she has every right to go on a date with any." " This is a way they have to make her happy. Why don’t you be smart and do the same to make her happy?" Koen advised Ashford. The Ashfords looked at each other and nodded. "So you support her contracting with them?" Oscar asked.

"I didn’t say that; besides, she is old enough to make her own choice." Koen answered them. Ashford calmed down a bit and left with his brothers to discuss their next move. "You should avoid war; it is a matter of who her heart beats for." Koen told them loudly as they turned to leave his office. "I'm confused; what should I do? Should I be honest with Luna and tell her that I love her and want to mate with her?" Koen stood with his hands on his waist, asking himself. "I will keep watching." He concluded alone in his office and sat quietly in his chair.

Later that day, Luna returned from her date with the Blackwoods. She had enjoyed their company, but she felt something was missing which was her freedom from her cursed and genuine love. Although,. She felt a lot of connection with them. Luna decided to take a walk around the camp and clear her head. She saw some familiar faces and greeted them politely. She noticed that some of them looked at her with envy or admiration, while others looked at her with disdain or suspicion. Luna at that point knew that she was the center of attention because of her beauty, and the contract that Alpha wanted her to sign with them. She wished she had gotten her heart with just one.

As Luna walked, she came across Koen’s office. She remembered that he had been kind to her since she arrived and would want to know why he called.

Not just that, he had helped her settle in and explained everything to her. He had also given her some space and respected her decisions, through his call. So also the ssnes to know why koen spoke strange to her while she was in date with Xavier and Lucas. She felt curiosity toward Koen. She went to koen office knocked on his door and heard him say “Come in”. Luna opened the door and saw koen sitting at his desk, looking at some papers. He looked up and smiled when he saw her.

“Luna, what a pleasant surprise! How are you?” koen asked.

“I’m fine, thank you. " How are you?” Luna asked Koen.

“I’m good, thank you. What brings you here?” He asked luna.

“I just wanted to say thank you for everything you’ve done for me. You’ve been very helpful and supportive, on phone and at thesame time know your reason for saying such a strange words to me on phone." Luna confidently speaks.

“It’s my pleasure, Luna. I’m glad I could help.” Koen answered. " And for the words, they are things you possess." Koen answered her and smile..

They looked into each other’s eyes and felt a strange sensation.

"Luna, what if we are to go on a date tomorrow?" Koen asked, expecting a word from Luna. Luna maintained silence for a while and later asked.

"Why do you want the date? Does that mean you were trying to stop me from going on a date with them simply because you are jealous?"

" Luna I am jealous; aside doing these to protect you, I needed a date with you because I want to be a part of your life."Alpha Koen expressed his intention more.

"Isn't it right you opened up to me?." "You are beating around the bush," she told koen.

"That should be a topic for another day." Koen breathed and said more. "Were you able to meet with Ashfords today? They were here today; they had come to know your next step in the contract."

"I haven't heard from them." She answered Koen.

"Luna, why not sign the contract with the Blackwood's and see happiness surround you?" He told her.

"I am yet to do that." She answered and continue. " Wasn't you the one who requested I have a date with you, why speaking of I signing a contract with blackwood's? Are you confused or what." She asked Koen, looking into his eye.

Koen uses his smartness to answered her "I will help you find true love, but that will be after I have gotten the cure to your problem." At this point, Luna held on to this, which made her prolong her contract with anyone for now. She became more confused, and her heart became connected with Koen. Seeing that he had promised to help her out of her shame and mysterious life, she took him as a savior and one to always talk with, even as she does with others.

"Speaking of the Blackwoods, I had a nice and unforgettable outing with them; they are fun to be with." She told Koen, smiling.

"That is the reason why I have told you to sign the contract with them; they will make you happy and forever love you." Koen encouraging Luna again.

"You speak forever." " How will that be when the contract is to end after a year?" Luna asked him.

"You can't tell what the future holds for you." He answered Luna.

She asked for a favor from Koen, hoping he would not refuse. “Going for another date with Alpha Xavier?” He guessed, amused by Luna request.

“No, Alpha Koen,” she replied koen quickly. “I want to know more about Sharlene, the mateless wolves I met on my arrival at the academy. She was so nice to me, and I felt like I had a sister whenever I saw her or she visited." "Can I find out where she lives exactly?”. Alpha Koen wondered how she had met Sharlene and why she was so interested in her. He decided to grant Luna her wish, if that was what she really wanted at that moment. “Before I agree to this, what do you want to talk to her about?” he asked, curious about Luna intentions. Luna looked at him with sincere eyes and said, “I want to thank her for being nice and maybe become friends with her. She seems like a good person, and I don’t have many friends here.” Alpha Koen felt a pang of sympathy for her and nodded his head. He knows that Ashford might come to take her out the next day, so he has to interrupt. “Alright, I’ll take you to her place tomorrow. But you have to promise me something.” He said this, holding Luna hands. “What is it?” Luna asked him eagerly..

"You have to promise to make your choice after the help." She nodded solemnly, understanding the importance of his request. “I promise, Alpha Koen. I will see what I can do about it.” Luna said to him, looking into his eyes. He smiled and kissed her hands, feeling a surge of affection for her.

The next day, Alpha Koen and Luna drove to Sharlene’s place, which was a big apartment in a quiet neighborhood. He parked the car and got out, taking Luna with him.

"This is her place," he told Luna, they walked into Sharlene house, Luna had to knock. Sharlene opened the door, and she was shocked to see Alpha Koen with Luna. She greeted them with a smile and invited them in. Sharlene was wearing a simple dress and had her hair tied up in a ponytail.

Meanwhile,Alpha George, to whom Sharlene is contracted with, wasn't at home; he had gone out for work.

"So, what brings you here?” Sharlene asked, leading them to the living room. She offered them some drinks and snacks and sat down on the couch. “We just wanted to visit you and see how you’re doing.” Alpha Koen said, sitting next to Luna. He glanced at Luna and gave her a reassuring squeeze on her hand. He knew that she wanted to talk to Sharlene alone, but he didn’t want to leave her side. He felt protective of her, treating her like a queen.
