“No,” Kathy blurted, “she can not be the prey, ma’am” she turned and rolled her eyes at Kathy for a brief second before returning her attention to me again.
“It’s fine,” I spoke out, even though I was really grateful for the fact that she tried to stand up for me, “it’s not a big deal”
I didn’t know why I felt like another hunt was about to take place the moment she put Corey in charge of the grouping. I knew he was up to no good and he would not hesitate to humiliate me.
Like I already knew, I ended up on Corey’s team. The smirk on his face said it all—he couldn’t wait to end me.
“An hour,” Mrs Gwendolyn called out again before her gaze settled on me again, “each group has an hour for everything. Try not to get killed, Eleanor”
