Chapter 4: Venturing The Deep Forest

457 Words
In the world of Another World, time flowed differently. One day in reality equated to 48 hours within the game, where the cycle of day and night allowed players to immerse themselves at all hours. The convenience of being able to play while sleeping drew countless adventurers into this enchanting realm. Equipment came in a range of tiers: common, advanced, bronze, silver, gold, epic, and legendary. Among the myriad of creatures, monsters were classified as common, elite, special elite, rare elite, chieftain, marshal, king, emperor, and mythic, each bearing their unique challenges. Within this world, magical artifacts held the potential to bestow hidden jobs, such as the Lightning Edge sword that Ryan had acquired. The sword's stats were a testament to its power: •Lightning Edge (Magic Sword) •Level 1 •Attack: +15 •Magic Enhancement: +10 •Experience to Next Level: 50 As Kulas marveled at the sword's prowess, he uncovered its hidden potential. Lightning Edge granted him two passive skills and three active skills that were the keys to unlocking its full potential as a magic swordsman. Passive Skills: •Elemental Fusion: Converts melee attacks into magical attacks, infusing them with elemental power. •Lightning Mastery: Enhances lightning-based spells and skills, increasing their potency by 20%. Active Skills: •Sword Blast: Swing your sword in a 10-meter arc, dealing 200% damage to all enemies in its path. •Thunder Strike: Calls down a bolt of lightning to strike a single target, dealing high magic damage and stunning them for 1 second. •Doppelganger: Creates a magical duplicate of Kulas that mirrors his actions, diverting attention from enemies and dealing 50% of his damage. As Kulas embraced his newfound identity as a magic swordsman, he unlocked the potential to change his job. The allure of the hidden job's power led him to abandon his Elementalist path and embrace the title of a Magic Swordsman. His experience grew, and at level 2, he invested his points into agility, enhancing his nimbleness and speed. The quest to defeat redboars continued, leading Kulas deeper into the forest. The forest's heart housed creatures of levels 3 to 5, each posing a greater challenge than the last. •Level 3 - Thornback Boar (Common) - Drops: Copper (1-7), Small chance of dropping common equipment •Level 4 - Ironhide Boar (Elite) - Drops: Copper (7-15), Chance of dropping advanced equipment •Level 5 - Thunderhoof Boar (Special Elite) - Drops: Copper (15-30), Chance of dropping bronze equipment. These formidable creatures tested Kulas's newly acquired skills and agility. The battles were intense, requiring a combination of strategy and quick reflexes. As he triumphed over each foe, his experience bar inched closer to the coveted 400 EXP needed to reach level 3.
