Writer's Pov

"Okay, I didn't mean it with helping her, please don't hurt me" Mrs Hills said mustering strength.

The three young men stopped immediately.

"Hey madam, don't get me wrong.. I wasn't going to hurt you. As a matter of fact, I can't. I just wanted to be sure that you weren't going to take her. That's all. You're my mother in law. I can't hurt you" Cole said with a faint smile of relief.

"Okay, please take it easy with my daughter. I don't know why she wants out immediately, maybe because she's scared. Scared of you. The things you've done and your reputation" Mrs Hills said in a more relaxed tone.

"If I was going to hurt her like I did the rest, I'd have done that last night. We slept on the same bed. Can't she see that? I married her, willingly. On a norms I would never agree to get married! Infact I was on my way to meet father at the beginning of this shrade before I met her." Cole complained to Mrs Hills who smiled, feeling happy that her daughter fell into the right hands.

"It's not funny " Sam said to her.

"Try to be less harsh with her. She doesn't respond to harshness. Plus, I need to talk to her today. Bring her here." Mrs Hills said and Cole looked at her suspiciously, making her chuckle.

"She's my daughter too dude! And if you don't want her to run away, you'd better bring her to me. Let me talk to her. Because the Katherine I know is planning on absconding" Mrs Hills said and Cole nodded and headed out.

"Thanks mam, we'll be on our way " Sam said and followed Cole.

"You look ravishing mam" Leo teased and followed his friends, making Mrs Hills smile.

Katherine's Pov

I've cried till I was tired of crying.

My eyes still hurt as a matter of fact.

The food at my front must have gotten cold.

I moved towards it to eat because my stomach grumbled.

Just then the doors flew open and a very pretty expensive lady walked in and froze as she saw me.

"Awwn! Our Bride!" She said and hugged me then notice my clothes were wet from tears.

"Dear, why are you crying, and you look horrible! Jeez! You don't even look like you got married yesterday." She said, arranging my hair.

"What's your name?" She asked with a smile making me feel comfortable.

This must be his sister...

"You don't know my name?" I asked

"Do you know mine?" She asked sarcastically, to prove that this is the first time we're seeing each other.

I chuckled and she smiled again.

"Katherine" I said

"Jane" she said and we hugged.

I think I found a new best friend.. Julie hasn't called me since. What a friend!

"Okay Katy, go shower and we'll go have some breakfast. Then we'll go to the saloon, after that, to the mall. We have a lot to do" she said and I obeyed her and went to the shower.

Writer's Pov

While Katherine is in the shower, Jane's phone rings. It's Cole.

"You notorious being! What did you do to your wife. She's soaked with tears!" Jane scolded and Cole sighed.

"It was a misunderstanding. Are you with her now?"he asked.

"Yes, she's in the shower and we'll be out soon" Jane answered.

"Okay, I'll not be back till noon. Dad wants to see me urgently.Tell her, her mum wants to see her. Maybe you could go with her" Cole said and Jane rolled her eyes, noticing that Cole doesn't know His wife's name.

"What's with the 'her this,' 'her that' what's your wife's name Cole?" Jane asked with a Knowing smirk

"No idea Jane.." Cole admits

"You're a scumbag!" Jane curses

"Whatever. Just take care of her for me " he said.

"What about me? Shouldn't I take care of myself?" Jane asked

"You can go to hell " Cole said and hung up..

Katherine's Pov

I came out of the shower and met Jane cursing whoever it was she was on the phone with.

"That husband of yours is a scumbag!" She said to me as I entered the dressing room.

"Tell me about it!" I said, wearing a simple cloth and following Jane to the dinning to eat as I tell her what happened to I and Cole this morning.

It's as I left the room that I realized how beautiful the mansion is.

"Katherine, I know My brother is a cruel person. But you're different Katherine, you make him a different person. I can see it. I don't know about the Love part, but that's one thing I can assure you.. Katherine, Cole will never hurt you. If he would, you'll be dead by now. The girls he killed Just made a mistake of touching him. And that's what he hates. But look at you! You guys got married, slept on the same bed. So he had all the chance to hurt you but he didn't" Jane said to me and I reasoned with her.

She was right.

Why didn't I notice it?

"What Will you have for breakfast dear" Jane asked me.

"Anything Jane, maybe what I had earlier this morning" I answered and she called Tim, the head of staff. That betrayer.

"Get us breakfast" Jane said to him rudely and he left unoffended.

What kind of person is that!?

"Let me let you know, Tim you see is a green snake in a green grass. He will always betray and expose you" Jane said

"I already experienced that" I said and she sighed

"I'm sorry dear! You can teach him a lesson By giving him a taste of his own medicine" Jane said and I burst out laughing..

Cole's Pov

I arrived at dad's compound and it was unusually quiet.

What happened?

Just as I walked through the corridor to my dad's room, I saw my four brothers discussing in low tones.

They gave me killer looks when they saw me but I ignored them this time.

The feeling is mutual. If they don't like me, then I hate them too.

Something is not right here.

I entered my dad's room and saw him drinking Champaign.

"I didn't think you'd come, after all it's your honeymoon. But something told me you're not busy with your wife" Dad teased

"What's wrong dad?" I asked, going straight to the point.

"Your brothers are rebelling against me. Fred talked to my Major clients about pushing me out of the game and making him senior in my chains of business. A few out of my clients and investors have backed out because of your brothers and I know this is Just the beginning. The reason the others haven't followed my son Fred and his brothers is because I'm still alive. And I think that's the next thing they're planning to do " Dad said, shocking me.

My brothers are planning to dethrone and kill our father!

What went wrong.?

"Greed. Fred is getting greedy. He wants all to himself, including my wealth." Dad said and I shook my head

"This is madness! You should deal with them already!" I said about to go meet them but dad stopped me.

"No don't..let them do what they want. Like it or not, they're still my sons and your brothers " dad said and I stared at him as he smiled with a hand on my shoulder.

Katherine's Pov

I hugged Mum so tight with all my heart.

I missed her.

Jane brought me to my mum's place after having fun in all the places she took me to. The saloon, mall and the spa.

"How are you now?" Mum asked me

"I think I'm feeling better now.. thanks to Jane" I said to my mum as Jane smiled

"Kathy, remember what I told you on your wedding.. you're married now dear, you have a husband now, and I can tell that Cole cares for you sincerely.. don't be scared of him. Instead, treat him like a baby Kathy, even with his faults, because that's what he is, a Big baby.. there's no one, and I repeat no one love cannot break. You Just have to submit to him, serve him, respect him, Care and Love him.. then you'll start seeing the changes. Your Dad was the harsh type. He still is but it's when he has to. Not unnecessary like he use to be. So please fix Your marriage and make it work" mum said to me not knowing Jane was Cole's sister.

I nodded and smiled.

"Thank you Mum, I'm happy you're with me " I said and suddenly Jane got a message.

"Where is Dad and the twins" I asked

"Your dad went to pick them from school." Mum answered in smiles.

"Thank you Mum " I said again and hugged her.

"Okay, we have to leave now, Cole is on his way home " Jane said and after another last hug with my Mum, I followed Jane back to the house.

We got home and we prepared lunch together in the kitchen, chit chatting and laughing as we cooked, ignoring Tim 's talk about the two of us not allowed in the kitchen.

It was getting late and Cole isn't back yet.

I decided to go upstairs and rest a little.

After an hour, I came downstairs only to see Cole, with Jane on his laps laughing as they watched a movie and crunching popcorn.

As I went to sit on another sofa, there was an akward silent.

"I think I hear my phone ringing" Jane says and stylishly left, leaving I and Cole Alone.

I removed my gaze from him and the next thing I know, he's sitting close to me with his strong amazing scent.

With his finger, he turned my face to face his, then smiled a little ...

"You look amazing" he said and I tried so hard not to blush but my face failed me.

"Jane took you to the spa?" He asked again and I nodded a yeah.

"How are you?" I asked and I could see the look of shock on his face as I ask that.

"I'm fine... It's been long someone asked me that" he said with a low tone.

"Hey, I'm... I'm sorry for yelling at you this morning" he said, finding it hard to say sorry.

"Yeah, me too, I concluded so fast, I'm sorry" I said and smiled a bit and immediately his face lit up with happiness.

Then he touches my cheek with care and tenderness, giving me goosebumps as I stared into his eyes..

"Uhmm" he said trying to call me something since he didn't know my name.

I decided to save him the stress by telling him my name.

"Katherine" I said and he smiled again..

Unknown to us, our faces were too close to each other. We were lost in each other's eyes at the moment .

"I'm not really a monster Kat, at least not to you. I'm only like that when I have to. I'll never hurt you! It pains me when you beg me not to hurt you! It breaks me" he said with a calm voice as I blinked back the little tears in my eyes.

"I'm sorry" I said and hugged him tight.

As I hugged him I noticed the stiffness of his body and the change of texture on his arms.. he had goosebumps all over..

I disengaged from the hug and looked at him surprised.

"You affect me this much" he said in a hoarse voice as his face came close to mine...

His hands are around my waist and his eyes looking straight at me with this serious look that made my body shudder at his touch..

I closed my eyes, about to recieve anything that comes, just as our lips brushed against each other, his body stiffened again...

"I've waited all Day to do this " he said in a heavy whisper when all of the sudden Jane interrupted us with a yell.

"COLE DAD COLLAPSED!" She shouted and Cole left me immediately in fright!

"Fred" Cole muttered immediately with gritted teeth.
