Episode 3

Cole's pov

I arrived home that same night and went straight to my living room only to meet my sister and my two best friends Sam and Leo chatting and laughing..

They were not even worried about me at all.

Still puzzled by what happened to me in the woods, I went to sit down quietly starring to space..

"What's wrong with the devil? He looks troubled" Leo asked sarcastically..

"Isn't it ironic, he troubles others but here he is.. looking like someone struck by lightning" Sam says and chuckles.

When they noticed I wasn't joining them to joke, they looked more serious..

"Yo! Are you okay? What happened?" Sam asked

"Wait... You heard about it already?"Leo asked and I looked at him wondering what he's talking about. I was about asking what happened when Jane interrupted him.

"No he hasn't..he didn't even get to dad's house". Jane said and I looked at her

"How did you know that?" I asked

"I was getting worried so I called Dad to inquire if you were with him or if anything was wrong but he said you didn't visit. And it's actually a good thing because something happened.." Jane said.

"Let's hear what's wrong with him first.. speak up bro.. we got you" Sam said

"I think I've been charmed" I simply said and Leo chuckled before asking..

"Charmed? How?" Leo asked as the others kept staring at me, waiting to hear the real thing..

"Come Jane" I said pulling my sister close, carrying her on my lap but I felt nothing. I looked at her face, removing the hair strands from her face, yet felt nothing. I placed her br**st on my lap and made her hold me from the back yet felt nothing!

What is this?

Or maybe because she's my sister..

"Get me a random girl now" I Demanded and my friends burst out laughing.. they must've noticed what happened to me..

I ignored them nevertheless and urged my sister to get me any random girl she could see.. because that's the only way to explain the one I saw in the .woods..'Random'.

"Who is She?" Leo asked with so much zeal while Sam kept laughing.

"Who is who?" I asked pretending not to know..

"The girl that made you feel this scared!? I've not seen you like this since Eva's breakup" Sam said referring to my ex girl from 6 years ago..

"No.. when that witch was here..he didn't look this lost..he was miserable!" Leo said..

He has always hated Eva..

Of course he should.. she's one of the reasons apart from my family that made me Cold hearted.

Just then Jane brought a random girl to me, maybe from the party because she was scared of coming close to me..

"I won't hurt you.. just try not to over do it" I said to her before she came to me... I tried the same thing with her.. but still I felt nothing but disgust. I sent the girl away and warned her not to come close to me ever again..

The girl I saw in the woods is special.. I'd like to see her again..

I'll go back to the woods tonight. I might see her there probably.

I told my guys about her and they were fascinated..

They wanted to know who she is..so I promised to take a picture of her tonight if I see her in those woods..

"Now.. what is it that happened?" I asked as I took off the mask on my face.

My guys and sister looked dumbstrucked.. they are always Iike that whenever I take off my mask..

"What?" I asked

"You need to stop hiding this beauty with a mask" Sam said pointing at me while Leo and Jane nodded in agreement.

This family of mine! Yeah.. this is the only family I have.

"I just want to avoid killing girls that come close to me because of my cuteness. So what's the problem?" I asked.

"Fred burnt down your favourite plane" Leo said bluntly making me fumm in anger while the others looked at him like he shouldn't have said it too bluntly..

"I wanted him to fumm up well and deal with that stupid brother of his" Leo said defending himself.

That's Leo for you. He loved anyone loved and hates anyone I hate even more than I hated such person.

"You know what to do... I want to see him in my torture room tomorrow night. Goodnight" I said still with anger and walked to my room while Jane followed me..

She wants to sleep beside me.

*Next morning*

Writer's Pov..

Katherine opened her eyes slowly and breathed in the familiar scent of her room. The sun rays on her eyes made her cover her eyes with her hands..it is too early for the sun to be this bright. It is 6:30 am.

How she ended up in her room she doesn't understand..

Next to her was her mum squeezing water out of the hand towel she used on her daughter..

She's backing Katherine and so she didn't see when Katherine opened her eyes..

It was until Katherine called her..

Katherine's Pov

"Mum" I called slowly and sat up a little as mum rushed to me, hugging me tight..

"You're okay! How are you? What happened to you? Why did you leave the house?" mum bombarded me with questions..

But what I really wanted to find out is how I ended up here...

I can't quite remember...oh Yes! I do now...

Those monsters! They hit me with their sticks leaving me unconscious..and that cowad! That stupid tortoise left those monsters hurt me! He stood right there watching them!

I wish there was a way I could meet him again and give him a piece of my mind...

Wait! Since he lives in the woods.. he'll always be in the woods.. I'll go back there this evening and give that stupid coward a piece of my mind.. oh I'll so injure him!

"Kath... What's making you frown your face that way! You haven't even answered me" Mum Said, making me realise my anger was visible on my face.

"I'm sorry mum" I said trying to calm down and being happy they found me despite that coward leaving me to die in the woods..

"I just wanted to get away.. I don't want to get married mum.. I don't want any of it.. I just want my catering shop.. I want school and career mum.. I'll choose when I'm ready to get married and who I want to marry" I weeped and she looked at me with those eyes full of hopelessness..

I know there's nothing she could do about it but I wanted her to know my heart.

"Sweety.. I wish there was a thing I could do..but I can't dear.. nevertheless, deep inside me I'm so sure this change in your life is going to be the best ever! And you're not really going to regret it" She said with smiles.

"How can you tell?" I asked her.

"I just have the feeling dear.. tell you what, if you ever get married and you don't like the marriage, get in touch with me, and I'll help you out.." mum assured me and I looked at her like 'really' and she nodded in affirmation.

"Just choose between one of them before this weekend alright" Mum request and I nodded in affirmation, agreeing sincerely to choose either of the two masters..

Just then Julie bursted in, in her uniform..

"Finally you're awake! I was so worried last night.. I had to call Mum and inform her.. we tried calling but your line wasn't going..not until after 30 minutes exactly before your tracker came back on. What happened to you? Who did this to you? Why did you want to run away?" Julie asked not breathing for a second.

"It's a long story Julie.. I'll chit chat with you at school.. for now, let me get dressed for school" I replied with a little smile..

Oh I have a lot to tell her..

"Thanks Mum.." I said to my Mum and she smiled before leaving..

"Now tell me all about it!" Julie Said immediately Mum left the room, making me laugh.

"Julie.. please till we get to school.. come help me dress to attract my husband. I'm going to choose between the two masters today" I said and she yelled jokingly before joining to help me pick up the right size for my uniform as I went to bath.

We arrived in school as usual and began our first lecture.. after that 3 hours boring psychology class, we all rushed out for breakfast.

As we walked to the cafeteria, I began feeling Julie in on my horrible experience in the woods last night. Then that shameless coward..

"He is really a coward.. so how did you end up few steps away from the wood? You think he carried you out..you were unconscious..you wouldn't have known" Julie said and I flared up

"I'm certain he didn't! You should have seen the way he jerked me off his body like a disgusting material and let those monsters hurt me right in his front. Oh what I'll do to him this night if I find him in the woods!" I said with all the anger in me as Julie stared at me in awe.. probably she hasn't seen me this angry..

"Calm down girl..! At least you're safe.. I still believe he placed you safety on the floor yesterday.." Julie said still defending him.. I rolled my eyes Knowing I wouldn't be able to convince her..

Just then we spotted Lucas with his fellow baseball mates having dinner and laughing...

"You really want to do what your mum said?" Julie asked

"What choice do I have.. I don't want to end up with Sir Greg's son? Besides she assured me she'll help me out if I get fed up" I said still looking at Lucas thinking about a method of approach as I ate my spoon of Rice..

"Just ask him for a date tomorrow night.. that's a way of apologizing for the missed calls.." Julie said with a blank face.

Somehow I detected sadness or jealousy from her voice as she spoke..

Lucas is the most popular guy and Next to the school monster in handsomeness.. The school monster never shows himself to the students.. and as I heard no one has seen his face before but people who have, narrates that he looks like a demi-god of cuteness.

I don't want to think Julie doesn't want me for Lucas.. she would have said so right?.

"Thanks Julie.. I hope you're okay" I asked

"I'm good. I wish I had a cute popular guy running after my hand in marriage" she said with a sad expression

"Julie..." I called softly, looking at her

"Go on Kath... I'll be waiting" She said, pushing me away lightly..

I walked to Lucas and immediately their table went quiet..

"I'd like to have dinner with you tomorrow night. Come pick me up?" I asked and he looked at me shocked, stuttering he answered "Sure" with happiness and I left back to my sit.

School went on as usual and closed.. I and Julie went home together and had launch..

Mum left to the grocery store with the twins and dad, to God knows where.. so I and Julie had the whole house to ourselves..

She left later in the evening..

Mum came back, we had dinner, and as soon as darkness started lurking in a bit I set out again to the woods in my trousers and a sleeveless long top.

I walked into the woods and stood at the very place those monsters hit me and looked around..

I couldn't see him but I sensed him.. that creamy mint scent was everywhere..

"I KNOW YOU'RE HERE COWARD! COME OUT AND FACE ME YOU FOREST FOOL! I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE! BUT THAT PERSON I SAW YESTERDAY WAS A COWARD. AN IMPOSTROUS COWARD" I shouted and after 3 seconds he walked slowly out of the bushes with hands in his pocket..

And oh my gosh!

I was starring at a supreme beauty.. this Man is beautiful! Not handsome!

"Me? A coward?" He said with shock and pride and an itsy bit of anger...

He came really close to me and that's when I saw his emerald eyes..

Jeez!

This is heaven! I'm lost in His eyes...

All of a sudden..as if someone shook me back to my senses, I gave him a thunderous slap...
