An hour after the call from Rocky, Trudy arrived at the Fairview police station. She parked the Chevette in an empty stall near the front doors. Stepping out of the car, she held her navy nylon coat over her head as a shield from the raindrops. She managed to get to the front doors without getting too wet. She stepped inside after opening the door; the bell over the door tinkled brightly announcing her. A cop, in the traditional uniform of brown pants with a chocolate colored stripe down the side and tan, short-sleeved shirt, sat behind a desk reading a magazine. Trudy saw it was a gun magazine.
