THE PRICE OF GREED EPISODE 1

it's all started in the year 1843 .

Among the people of the greenfield village lived a family union by the name nneka and Jonathan, nneka and Jonathan has lived together for about 2 years after their marriage.

The two couples didn't bear a child but was blessed with a wonderful land that bears them fruits and crops.

Nneka always pray to bear child one day along with the love and attention of her husband Jonathan.

Jonathan loved nneka so much that he didn't consider leaving her because of her infertile problem. The two couples lived happily together with smile and trust among them self .

One Saturday morning, Jonathan Uncle Mr. Eke returned back from the city, at his first approach, he got a sight of the healthy farm crops which was huge land .

At first he kept it normal acting to be good, immediately he reached Jonathan welcomed him happily and calmly.

Nneka made a delicious meal to welcome him home, happily he ate and drank later on had a rest.

The next day as the two was having a conversation Jonathan took the chance to ask him about his return and he quickly brushed it off with an excuse of coming back to spend little holiday with them but Jonathan didn't believe his words because he knew his uncle and how dangerous he can be.

One week passed and on a Wednesday morning when nneka was away Mr. Eke offered Jonathan an offering of selling his land In a high rate but Jonathan had no intention of selling it so he declined the offer and Mr. Eke added, I will help you and your wife nneka move to the city and start a better life.

That's was when Jonathan got an ideal of why his uncle eke came back from the city.

During the evening period, Jonathan informed his wife about his uncle offer and she also declined it on aware Mr. Eke was standing beside the door listening to their conversation along .

After getting to know that the have no intention of selling of the land Mr. Eke a man of power known for his arrogant deals went to the elders of the village and drop a complain against nneka trententing to kill her husband and the elders believeed him, after all the has all been bribered.

Days pass and finally on a Monday morning, after 3 months pass Mr. Eke invited his brother son Jonathan for a hunt at the forest and he agreed because he loved hunting and he saw it as a good chance of making his uncle forget about his land his asking him to sell to him but in the other side, his uncle's reasons for the hunt was to finally eliminate him and dispose his body without any tress .

Later in the evening, the went for the hunt. As the move round by round in the forest waiting for target, Mr. Eke acted like he was tired and pretend to have a rest mean while Jonathan stood firm sighting for bush animal. When Jonathan was distracted, Mr. Eke took the chance when he was not looking to shot him directly into his chest and he fell down trying to speak but couldn't .

After Mr. Eke has seen that his plan has worked out he quickly left and returned home immediately .

Letter in the night nneka was worried of his husband not yet back so she asked Mr. Eke weather he saw him during the day after she left for farm work and Mr. Eke replied her in a shouting manner, do I look like your husband watch man? and she quickly left after that response to go and search for her husband.

Later after a long search she was worried that something has happened to her husband and went home to pray wishing for her husband to turn out to be safe .

After a long wait at the door she fell at sleep, early in the morning she was sudden woked up by a knock on the door with a bad news her husband body has been found dead this morning in the forest and she is requested to be seen in the palace for questioning.

At first she thought it was a joke but the young man who came right now seem to sound serious so she rushed to the palace without waisting more time .

On reaching to the palace, she saw her husband dead body and Mr. Eke in the palace.

At first she was confused and rushed to her husband body and it's turned out everything is not a dream without wasting anymore times she asked for the one who did this to her husband and didn't get any reply after few seconds the chief asked her , what happened to your husband? and she replied I should be asking you people after she spoke Mr. Eke added acting like a good man ,I saw you two living to the forest at morning later on you return and I asked you off my brother son and you replied his on his way was that not what you tell me?.

That was when nneka knows that all this is done by his husband uncle and she shouted out I didn't kill my husband and I will make you pay for this as she weep and fell without any conclusion and investigation of the matter the chief announced that she is going to be burned alive for killing a member of our community all because the has already be bribered.

Mr. Eke thought he has won not knowing the night mare just began .

Later the next day she was brought in the village square chained and left on the sun without cloths .

As she stands on the sun she began to place a curse on the village and promised the will never see light again in their life, after some hours on the sun she was finally burned alive

After the event Mr. Eke inherited all the left property because the has no son and no one to stand for it ........ to be continued
