Where is she?

AVA'S POINT OF VIEW 

I look down at the floor as i walk into 1st period early again, as i have done for the past 3 days. And again, Rose isn't here. I'm really worried. I need to apologize for yelling at here and not believing her for what she told me. As soon as she walked off from me the bell rung and kids filed out of the cafe. I was at my locker still trying to face the realization that Rose could actually love me and that i f****d it up.

Some of the people that i thought were my friends came up to me and poured mixed drinks and food all over my clothes and threw trash all in my locker. I sat there stunned as tears threatened to fall out of my eyes. 

Rose was right. and i couldn't even tell her that she was right.

I walk to my seat and take out my phone. I text Rose's phone again. I thought that she would at least read my texts but she doesn't even do that. which i think sucks but i can't do anything about that.

After school I'm going to go talk to Lacey and see if i can talk to Rose today.

''Knock Knock Knock" i knock on their front door. No one answers so i start knocking again. I was going to knock again but the door opened. I came face to face with a red faced- teary eyed Lacey. 

She runs towards me and I hug her with all of the strength in my body. 

"s-she's gone! They t-took her a-and i.. i-i don't to d-do!" she sobs into my shoulder. Took who? Who is gone?

"Are you talking about Rose?" i try to speak steadily but it comes  out shakily. She nods her head.

"Who took her?" she stays quiet. I move into the living room and close the door. She looks down and starts shaking again. "LACEY!" I yell trying to get her to answer. She looks up at me again. "who took her" i repeated. 

"Kate.." she says in a small voice. Isn't that her ex? The one that cheated? I ask her and she nods her head and i feel myself getting mad. I heard the story from Rose a while ago. 

"Do you know why they took her?'' i asked turning towards the living room. She follows behind me and sits on the couch. I sit down next to her and she hands me a note. I open it and read it out loud. 

"We have Rose, Lacey. She will pay for what she has done to me. And what you have done to me, you should've let me explain and we wouldn't be in this situation, now would we? see you later..or not -Kate"

''when did she give you this?" i asked looking over to her.

She blows out a breath and tells me "it was here 3 days ago when i got home, and yesterday she sent me this" she hands me a sheet of paper. "this is what she really wants with rose, and i-i dont.." she breaks down crying again and i just watch her.I read the paper that was typed instead of written.

"Lacey, let me tell you a story. Once upon a time there lived a girl who's mother left her at a very young age. But it wasn't her fault. The woman's ex husband killed her out of jealousy. He killed her because she had another kid. That girl grew up and found out that she had another sister, Named Rose. Sound familiar? Well see, I'm 22, five years older than Rose, who is 17. I stayed with who i thought was my  father when i first was born and my mother left him for another man. Turns out Rose and I have the same father. We are blood sisters. Can you believe that? You know the story of Rose. Rose killed our father. and now i am going to kill her. Too bad you can't protect her now. i'm coming for you next. So be ready. -Kate"

I look over at lacey and i can tell that we are thinking the same thing. 

"we have to get rose before she kills her" i say looking at her. she nods her head in agreement. I get up and hug her.
