Third POV
Wyatt
Wyatt bought himself coffee while waiting for Jeff to return from dropping Zara off. He found it impossible to stay in the car and watch her sad face.
He regretted that he let her get away with this so easily. To make her suffer a bit longer, he should have rejected her attempt to end things and begged her not to let him go so fast.
He got into the car when Jeff got back from dropping Zara off and they headed off to the meeting.
After the meeting, the hotel got noisy, as business people discussed deals and exchanged business cards.
“My soon to be ex wife.” He shook Inaya’s hand during the commotion.
“My soon to be ex husband,” Inaya smiled. “You move on fast. Really Wyatt? A $350 000 bouquet with real diamonds?” She shook her head.
“Do I need a reason to spoil the woman I love? She was gifted to me by my former wife.” He grinned.
“I never gifted you with anyone. You cheated! In our house.” She said it with so much intensity, Wyatt almost thought she was really hurt.
“And you are still a damn good actress.” He pursed his lips, heading over to the bar in the hotel whereby they held their meeting.
“Mr and Mrs Henderson?” A sweet and sultry voice interrupted the conversation.
They both turned to the source of the voice, and he couldn’t help but grin. This was just what he needed. Inaya’s least favourite person.
“Taylor,” she said with a strained smile.
Taylor was someone they went to high school with, and she always showed that she had a crush on Wyatt.
“It’s not Mrs Henderson anymore. You can have him all to yourself. You never hid your thirst for him.” Inaya rolled her eyes.
Taylor broke eye contact, but there was a faint smile that she was trying to hide.
Wyatt took a deep breath to stop himself from scolding Inaya. He promised himself not to argue with Inaya in public, and he was determined not to break that promise simply because they had been separated.
“Taylor? Do you also have a business in the legal industry we don’t know of?” Wyatt gazed at Taylor.
“No, I attended the meeting on behalf of my uncle’s firm. He couldn’t make it.”
“You still look pretty as ever.” He kissed the back of her hand.
“Thank you.” She smiled sheepishly.
Inaya glared at Taylor, as if she would strangle her if she could.
"I have to go speak to some people." Taylor said with a shaky voice, pointing in the opposite direction.
Wyatt nodded and wished her goodluck, then he continued to walk towards the bar.
“I wish you were never born.” Inaya followed him.
“And who daddy dearest would’ve used to get more money?” He turned to face her, and raised a brow.
“It’s not like you had any assets. How do you call yourself a billionaire when you had only 50 million to your name?”
“And yet you almost took all of it.” He couldn’t help but smirk.
“I know you have a lot more money, and I’m going to find it.”
“Good luck.”
He ordered himself an Irish Coffee.
“I can see what you are doing. Zara is not your type. You are doing all this for her in order to spite me.” She sat next to him on the high bar chair.
“You are thinking too highly of yourself, Miss Pearson. You don’t mean that much to me.”
“Look at how happy you are to call me Miss Pearson. You should thank me for the divorce.”
Wyatt shook his head in disbelief. She wanted him to thank her for trying to take almost all of his money?
Inaya ordered herself whiskey on the rocks. Wyatt chuckled, and she shrugged. Inaya only ordered whiskey when she felt stressed.
“Is your dad mad at you about my money?” He glanced at her.
“You wish. He doesn’t...” Wyatt's phone rang, and it was Jeff, saying he was outside.
“For my broke ex wife.” He whispered in Inaya’s ear, leaving dollar bills for both of their drinks and a generous tip.
“I am not b...”
“You said you are going to find my money. You wouldn’t bother if you weren’t broke.”
She tightened her lips, seemingly enraged.
He left her at the bar, and found Taylor standing outside waiting for her uncle's driver to pick her up.
“Would you like to go out for coffee sometime?” Taylor asked Wyatt when she noticed him standing next to her.
“I would like that.” His lips curled up. This was the best payback for Inaya.
He decided to let the idea go. He wasn’t about to do something because of Inaya. She didn’t deserve to have that much power over him.
He would just drop Taylor off, get a good sleep, and torture Zara with questions during their meeting.
“Lets go, and I will drop you off.” He offered.
“Thank you.” Taylor got in and called the driver to cancel the pick up.
Taylor looked at him and bit her lip, batting her eyes in a way that was sexy. Instead, he was thinking about the awkward encounter with Zara when she tried to be sexy.
A laugh unintentionally escaped his lips, and he found it difficult to stop himself. Taylor looked him, confusion written on her face.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"Why are you laughing at me?" Her cheeks instantly turned red.
She probably thought there was something wrong with her, but he wasn't about to tell her that it was not her, and he was thinking about another woman.
He pressed the button next to her, and the window went up, separating them from Jeff. Then he smiled, hoping that the smile would get him out of trouble.
“I have always wanted you Wyatt, you know that.” She pursed her lips.
“But I’m going through a divorce. I can’t afford to let anyone have my heart right now.” He said dismissively.
“That’s not a problem. I’m too busy for anything serious.”
He kissed Taylor with so much hunger, and she was already moaning and gasping.
He tried to be in the moment as he ran his fingers through her dark hair, but he wished her hair was honey brown.
Taylor’s hands knew exactly how to touch him, but he wanted Zara’s trembling hands instead. There was something clearly wrong with him.
He desperately tried to get Zara’s memory out of his mind. Zara was nothing but a liar. Taylor was a classy woman.
He unbuttoned Taylor's dress while they kissed. She leaned back, and he began planting kisses on her lower abdomen. She had her fingers in his hair, moaning and screaming his name. Good thing, Jeff couldn't hear them.
The call from Jeff pulled him out of his almost passionate moment, and they noticed that the car had stopped.
Taylor pouted, and he kissed her lips. Then he got out of the car, letting Jeff take Taylor home.
He took a quick shower, and his doorbell rang a few moments later.
He looked at Zara through the glass door, and she stood there, hugging herself with her arms.
Wash she afraid?
She seemed too innocent to be involved with people like him and Inaya, but she got herself into this mess. So, he was going to enjoy seeing her miserable as payback.
Then, he made a mistake of taking a glance at her lips, and he sighed regretfully. He wasn’t a boy anymore, but there he was, crazy about a girl after a kiss or two. A person he didn’t know that well.
The images kept flashing in his mind, those images of when they were in bed together, and her moans. His c**k throbbed at the memory. Maybe if he just f****d her once, then he would get her out of his system. He couldn’t thou, despite her faults, every girl deserved someone who would make her first relationship special.
Dammit! Damn Inaya for bringing Zara into his house!
The doorbell rang again, and he was grateful that she couldn’t see him gaping at her.
She still hugged herself, and her timid face convinced him that it was best to let her go.
