Maya casually kept drinking from the glass she was holding in her right hand. The girl smiled back gently, when she accidentally saw Evan who immediately changed his expression to a stiff one because he saw the presence of a man who approached Maya this time.
First of all, Maya gave Evan a gentle reassuring smile. The girl really made sure Evan wasn't too worried about her, before she turned back to the man who approached her.
From the stiff expression that Evan showed, Maya already knew that the man who was approaching her did not have a good relationship with Evan. But still inviting him to their wedding only meant Evan had no other choice but to do it. The man was probably stronger than Evan. Or in some way, made Evan scared because of something else.
