Chapter 29 “Not so fast.” We’d smelled the waiting shifters from the ferry, but I hadn’t expected them to attack so swiftly. Not while cars were streaming past, headlights occasionally flickering over to light up the darkness and expose our shenanigans to one-body eyes.
