Ella's eyes went wider as the green-faced creature stopped her scream halfway with its hideous hand.

She observed with horror the intrinsically grotesque carvings on its forehead and cheekbones as it raised its other hand now, hissing; shhhhhhhhhh.
This was her chance. She hoped the creature was male, had balls—and they're in the right place.
