Juliette POV I sat in my room, gripping the necklace around my neck so tightly I thought it might snap. My heart was racing, my mind spinning in endless circles. I couldn’t get the image out of my head—the man in the news, his lifeless body found at the bridge. The headlines screamed suicide, but I knew better. I recognized him. The masked man from the café. The room seemed to close in on me as a sickening realization gripped my chest. Whoever he was, he’d tried to help me. He’d handed me that flash drive, and now he was dead. Harrison’s smug face flashed in my mind, his knowing smile when he asked about my “lover.” He had known. Of course, he had. He always knew everything, always had control. I bolted upright. No more sitting here like a helpless victim. No more letting Harrison toy
