6Aldo's sitting up on the bed in his room, his back against the headboard, headphones on and eyes closed. As usual, the quality of the recording's top notch, fresh from the studio and perfectly balanced, courtesy of Mr Gappa Bale and his mixing board sorcery. The track playing at this moment, which they recorded just a few hours ago, is a beast. A sludgy, doom-mongering slice of riffage, way down in the dungeons of a dropped C tuning. With the basic instrumental idea down, now Aldo has to give it language. Try to come up with a vocal, something real, something honest, but dress it up some. Fit words around a beat and a give them a melodic hook that sticks in the brain. Make it just lyrical enough to be cool, but not so much that it's pretentious. Make it relatable. Don't be cheesy though
