4The hard, flat bang of the door to the studio slamming shut snaps Luce out of her trance. She blinks and the world comes back into focus. Ross is standing motionless by the door, staring at it as if he's hypnotised. She runs round the couch and attacks the door, hauling at the handle, but it won't open. She starts slapping and kicking at it, calling out for Aldo. Then Ross is there, pulling her to the side then bodily throwing himself at the barrier, attempting to break it down with his shoulder and a series of brutal kicks. He doesn't even make a dent. The door doesn't so much as tremble in its frame. “It's no good,” Ross gasps stepping back, his hands fisted at his temples. “I can't open it.” Then he launches himself at the door again, roaring in frustration and hammering at the wood
