From the other side of the office, Mark watched Adams trawl through the onscreen records again. Adams drew out a cigarette, smoked it down to the butt, and then lit another. Mark didn"t like the new attention his boss was giving the Smith files. Suddenly the enemy—his enemy—was being exonerated. So he may not have killed his wife, that didn"t mean Charlie Smith shouldn"t be locked up. There were crimes he did commit.
