Matt took a deep breath and exhaled loudly before answering me.
“Yes. I want a divorce”. I didn’t think it was possible, but my heart shattered again.
“Okay. I’ll sign the papers and send them to your lawyer.” I said, defeated. “It will be easy since they are lying on my bedside drawer. I just want you to pack your bags and get out of the apartment as soon as possible.”
"No problem. I'll leave by today." He looked away from me, and for a moment, I felt sadness in his eyes.
With a sigh, Matt turned and went to the door. He paused with his hand on the doorknob and turned to face me.
