Book 2: Chapter 2

-NINA- "Who? Me?" I feigned confusion to buy time. With the dim lights in the cabin, he probably can't see my face that well. Maybe I can escape this situation without the embarrassment of being kicked out of business class. "Yes, you! You were not here before." he insisted, whispering back. Because of the sleeping passengers, we're keeping our voices low. Finally, I turned my face to fully face him. Short dark hair, chiseled jaw, long nose and well-defined lips. Even in most darkness, I can see that he is incredibly attractive. "I was in another place nearby, but my seat was damaged, and I moved here." My gaze shifted involuntarily to the left. I'm a terrible liar. A ghost of a smile touched his lips. "No, you weren't. I would have noticed immediately if you were in business class. Unless this is a dream." He pinched his forearm and I couldn't help but notice how strong and muscular they were. "It's not a dream. Okay, I was in coach and snuck out of here to use the lavatory. Happy?" I snorted, glaring at him. “Are you asking me if I'm happy that a gorgeous woman has come to occupy the extra seat I bought so that I could be alone? Why wouldn't I?" The compliment made my cheeks blush. Hopefully he missed that. "I promise to leave you alone soon. I'll just need to make sure the flight attendant doesn't come back." She was nearby serving someone a glass of wine. He raised one eyebrow, challenging me, and I wish I could see his eyes. Are they brown? "If you wanted the perks of the business class, why didn't you buy the ticket?" The arrogance of this guy! He's probably a rich spoiled brat who doesn't understand that the world doesn't have the same amount of money as he does. "Why would I pay double to travel the same distance? If I wanted to donate money, I would have chosen an organization that is more needy than a major airline. Now I understand why you bought two seats, one for your body and one for your snobbery." "Touché. I didn't mean it as an insult, although you look even more beautiful when you're angry." he gave me a crooked smile. Was he flirting with me? "I'm not angry!" I shouted, completely forgetting that we must keep our voices low. I was furious. "Shhhh! Some people are trying to sleep here!". A blond woman sitting in front of us turned her head back to scold us. "If you don't stop, I'll call the flight attendant." I was about to apologize when the guy answered the woman. "Oh come on, Shelly. You were talking loudly to your friend just an hour ago, complaining about the incompetence of the airplane crew. Do you really think one of them would come to help you now?" She huffed and turned back to her seat, leaving us alone again. "Do you know her?" I asked him. "No, but she was being rude to the crew before, saying that she was Shelly Maximillian. She threatened to file a complaint because of the quality of the champagne served on board." I was curious. "Is she someone important?" "I've never heard of her. I couldn't care less. And for the record, the champagne served was good if you think of a product server on a commercial flight. Do you want to try it?" he offered me his glass and I have no idea why, but I took it. I was planning to take a small sip, but instead I finished the whole glass in one gulp. "This was tasty. She is indeed a b.itch" "Do you want more? Let me just ask", he motioned to press the button on the console to call the crew, but I stopped him, putting my hand on top of his. "Please don't. I don't want to get caught," I pleaded to him. His eyes remained fixed on our hands for a moment. "Okay. Just wait a bit". After a few moments, he came back with two empty glasses and a bottle of champagne. I couldn't help but laugh when he plopped on his seat again and served me a full glass. "What is this for?" "Just getting a smile from you is reason enough." I'm getting lightheaded and don't know if it is because of the champagne or his compliments. "What shall we toast to?" I raised my flute and locked my eyes with him. "To luck. How the universe gave me the chance to meet you here." He got closer until I could feel his body heat. His eyes moved to my lips, and I started to feel goosebumps on my skin. "Aren't you just a flirt?" I could feel his breath fanning on my face. His hand reached a lock of my hair to put behind my ear. A gesture so intimate for two strangers on a plane and, at the same time, so familiar. "Only with you, I swear." The air got thin, and my mouth went dry. Nervously, I moved away from him and took my whole glass of champagne again in one gulp. "I... I still need to use the lavatory," I told him, and was starting to get away when he held my arm. "In five minutes, I'll come to the door and knock six times. If you want me to kiss you the way that you should be kissed, just open it." he released my arm, and I quickly ran to my original destination. After peeing in record time and washing my hands, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My cheeks are a shade of pink and my hair looks messy. I was fixing my hair and thinking I wouldn't open the door at all when I heard the six knocks. The door was barely opened when he rushed inside, his lips crashing immediately into mine. Rushed. Messy, Wet. Delicious. A whirlwind of tongue, teeth and lust. "You smell incredible. Where have you been hiding all this time?" his hands were slowly roaming on my body. "Mhnnnnn," I wanted more, and he noticed, starting to fumble with my sweats. "Oh, God." "Shhhh, I'm the only one who can hear your screams," his hand was covering my mouth. "Hello? Is there someone in there? Is everything alright?" my eyes widened in panic when I heard the flight attendant's voice. "I told you there's been someone inside for a long time. You need to do something!" I listened to Shelly speak. "I can open the door from the outside." The door latch started to rattle, but before anything else could happen, the guy let go of me and splayed his hands on the door, holding it in place. "Can a person have some privacy?" he shouted towards them in a very angry voice. "Do you need help sir?" offered the flight attendant. "No, I just want to be left alone!" After that, we could hear the people hurrying away from outside the lavatory. I waited until everything was quiet again and raced away from the lavatory, leaving the guy behind me. He kept calling for me, and I could swear that my name was mentioned at some point, but I quickly escaped back to economy class before someone could catch me.
