618 Words
Salome walked into her house, dropping her bag on the floor. Her mom was cooking dinner in the kitchen, and the aroma of something delicious wafted through the air. "Hey, sweetie," her mom said, giving her a warm smile. "How was your day?" Salome took a deep breath, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. "It was good, Mom," she said. "I spent some time with Jeremiah today." Her mom raised an eyebrow. "Jeremiah, huh?" she said. I've heard a lot about him. "He's a great guy, isn't he?" Salome nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, Mom, he's amazing. "He's so kind and smart, and he always knows how to make me feel better when I'm down. Her mom smiled, a knowing glint in her eye. "I can tell you're really fond of him, sweetie," she said. "What's going on between you two?" Salome took a deep breath, trying to put her feelings into words. "I don't know, Mom," she said. "I just feel like I really connected with him, you know?" He's going through a tough time, and I want to support him." Her mom nodded, her expression softening. "That sounds wonderful, Salome," she said. "If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know." I'll do my best to support him too." Salome's heart swelled with gratitude. She knew she could always count on her mom to be there for her, and it was nice to know that she would support Jeremiah too. "Thanks, Mom," Salome said, giving her a hug. "That means a lot to me." As they hugged, Salome felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she had her mom's support, and that gave her the courage to be there for Jeremiah, no matter what. After talking to her mom, Salome felt a sense of relief and gratitude. She knew that her mom's support would mean a lot to Jeremiah, and she was glad that she could count on her mom to be there for him too. As she walked into her room, Salome's phone rang. She smiled when she saw Jeremiah's name on the screen. "Hey," she said, answering the call. "Hey," Jeremiah replied, his voice sounding warm and gentle. "I was just thinking about you and wanted to see how your day was going." Salome's heart swelled with affection. It was sweet of Jeremiah to call her, and she appreciated his thoughtfulness. "It's going well, thanks," Salome said. "I just got back to my room and was thinking about our conversation earlier." "Oh?" Jeremiah said, his voice curious. "What about it?" Salome hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to share. But something about Jeremiah's gentle tone put her at ease. "I was just talking to my mom about you," Salome said. "She's really supportive and wants to help if she can." There was a pause at the other end of the line, and for a moment, Salome wondered if Jeremiah was surprised. But then he spoke up again. "That's really kind of you, Salome," Jeremiah said. "It means a lot to me that you're willing to talk to your mom about me." Salome smiled, feeling a sense of connection with Jeremiah. "I'm happy to do it," she said. "I care about you, Jeremiah, and I want to support you in any way I can." Jeremiah's voice was soft and gentle when he replied, "I care about you too, Salome. Thanks for being there for me." As they chatted for a few more minutes, Salome felt a sense of comfort and ease with Jeremiah that she hadn't experienced before. She knew that she was developing strong feelings for him, and she wondered if he felt the same way.
