My insides twisted, then my stomach felt sick, his scent and his question doing a number to my nervous system. Even my heart feels like it's about to beat out my chest. Fear and anxiety were choking me, and I was already trying not to breathe.
“How….. How do you….,” I tried to ask, trying hard not to breathe still, though I failed. His scent makes the urge to claim him too strong. It’s so hard to fight it.
I have been working so hard to avoid him so I could prepare myself to talk to him first. When I smell his scent, the urge to mate is too much. Resisting hurts.
Archie was helping me to avoid Rick for now until I got my head in the right place. Why didn’t he warn me today?
