“Caroline!” Mary’s loud voice rang out as I sat down at the table.
As soon as she saw me, she immediately embraced me and brought the bag she and Aunt Jes were carrying along with her. I noticed Aunt Jes smiling at me from behind her.
Mary then sat down next to me.
Andrius had to leave early this morning because of an issue at his company. I heard the sound of his car before he left, even though it was still dark outside. He couldn’t go to work yesterday because we spent the entire day kissing and snuggling with each other.
Throughout my slumber, I couldn’t help but dwell on the belief that it was my own fault for causing him to miss work yesterday.
