Until my last howl

Chapter 8 - Welcome to the castle

"Wake up my dear" said the alpha as he shook me awake. "We are almost by my castle."

I sat up, still quite tired and looked out the window. All I saw was never ending mountains, parts of a forest and a huge river flowing between a canyon. "It's beautiful" I spoke out quite loudly.

"Wait until you see my castle" said the alpha.

It was still dark outside, must be early morning by now I thought. This time though I could see the stars and I could see the moon shining above which gave me some glimmer of hope that I would be able to escape before anything happens.

We took a final turn and went up a mountain on a rather curvy road. We were getting close, I could feel it...

There was a huge gate infront of us, it looked like pure silver and there were huge walls as far as the eye could see with guards walking along the wall.

"Lots of security" said Charles in my head.

"Need to find a way past them" I responded.

The gate opened and we drove in. There was a long driveway which went through what looked like used to be beautiful gardens at a stage. Now everything looks so dry and dead. There were no roses on the bushes, no leaves on the trees and the flowers looked all shriveled up.

We stopped right infront of the castle and Charles opened my door for me letting me out. I couldn't help but look in awe as my mouth hung open with the sheer size of the castle. It was huge! There were probably over 100 rooms in the castle, I thought.

"350 to be precise" Charles said in our mind link.

The alpha put his hand on my back as his servants rushed out to greet him and kneel down before him ready to serve him. Charles let out a low growl with the alpha laying his hand on me.

"Everything alright Charles?" The alpha asked his beta.

"Yes alpha, I just thought I heard a noise" He said clearing his throat.

We walked up the stairs and through the huge doors of the castle. It was very airy and full of light inside. There was a huge fireplace surrounded by couches where one could sit comfortably and warm up on a cold winters night.

To the right was a grand diningroom where you could easily fit 100 people around it.

In the centre was a huge staircase which went in both directions.

Just before we got to the stairs, the alpha spoke " to the right is the grand kitchen where all our meals get prepared and to the left is the servants quarters."

I nodded my head and wondered what kind of life they were living...

We walked up the stairs to the left and the alpha told me that the study was through that door and to the right was a television room where one could watch movies.

There were endless stairs and as we passed each floor the alpha would tell me what each room is for.

"That's where the omega's stay" He said.

"That's my personal office" He said.

I took everything in trying to remember what all he told me and where everything is.

We finally got to the top after climbing all the winding stairs. Then the alpha spoke again "This is where beta Charles sleeps" pointing to the room closest to the stairs.

"This is your personal servants room" He said pointing to the room opposite of Charles'.

"Next to the servants room is the baby's room" He said pointing to the door. "It's empty at the moment but you are welcome to decorate it how you want."

"This would be your room dear" He said pointing at the door.

"Where will you sleep?" I asked him curiously.

"Accross the hall" was his response.

Before he left he looked at me and spoke very clearly "There are some rules that should be followed, for instance you are not allowed to go anywhere without someone escorting you at all times and you are to stay within the castle boundaries."

"I will" I said. "Where do I get clothes and other things that I need?" I asked in a rather soft tone of voice not wanting to upset him.

"Charles will go find you a servant who will bring you whatever your heart desires and Charles will escort you to go get clothes, he will also be responsible for you. He is to protect his future luna with his life."

I was glad about that part, atleast I can have my mate as close to me as possible. That made me feel a bit more at ease and happy.

"I will see you tonight at dinner my dear" the alpha said giving me a kiss on my cheek before he left.

"What time is dinner?" I called out after him.

"6 p.m sharp" He replied as he bolted down the stairs.

"And what about breakfast?" I asked to myself softly...

Charles looked down the stairs then looked at me and spoke. "Listen princess, while I try and figure things out just go with the flow, I'll go find a servant for you and don't worry, you can trust her with your life, ill also grab you breakfast on my way back oky."

"Oky" I said as I watched him turn around and walk down the stairs...

I turned to face my room, wondering what awaited me, I put my hand on the door handle, pushed it down and opened the door...

"BANG!"...
