Until my last howl

Chapter 12 - The dinner

The kiss we had felt like it went on for eternity, we were both burning with fire and passion for one another, never wanting the moment to end.

Then all of a sudden Charles stopped immediately what he was doing and his eyes flashed green.

He got an angry look on his face. Thinking that I maybe did something wrong, I quickly jumped off of him, grabbed my towel and darted into my closet.

I sat down, just staring at the door with tears flowing down my face. What did I do wrong? I asked myself...

"You did nothing wrong my princess" came Charles voice from the other side of the door. "The alpha just mind linked me to say I must tell you that it's almost dinner time and that you must look your best."

I got up off the floor and opened the door.

"I don't want to" I told Charles with stubbornness in my tone.

"You have to my princess" He said while caressing my cheek and wiping my tears away.

"I'll come get you in about 30 minutes" He said before walking out the door.

I sat back down, my thoughts rushing through my head. Why can't I just have my life with him and only him, I asked myself.

It took forever for me to decide what to wear but seemingly as I had to make a good impression and put up a good front, I decided to wear the new thin strap red dress that I bought which had lace lining the breast line with white pearls on the straps.

I also put on my new red high heel shoes that I bought to go with the dress.

They do say that wearing red makes your mate more attracted to you and I giggled at that thought.

I sat down and brushed out my hair, tying it in a long ponytail while leaving a few strands hanging down the sides of my face.

I put on some mascara to make my eyes pop and finished myself off with red lipstick and a spritz of perfume.

I looked at myself in the mirror and I was impressed. I am sure to impress my mate, I thought to myself while smiling.

I waited for Charles to come and get me like he said he would and while I waited, I stared out of my bedroom window watching the sun slowly set behind the mountains and the trees of the forest.

Day dreaming of the day that I'll be free...

"Knock, knock" I heard knocking on the door.

"Come in" I said while turning around so that I could face the door.

Charles walked in and stood dead still, just staring at me, looking at me up and down as his entire face turned red.

"It's time for dinner my princess" He said while trying to maintain a calm demeanor.

I walked toward him and he held his arm out for me to put my arm through as we walked out the door and started our way down the stairs...

I could hear the alpha talking in the diningroom which sounded like to a lot of people. I started getting nervous and bit my lip.

"Don't worry princess, it's going to be oky, just think of me" said Charles trying to calm me down.

His eyes flashed green and I knew he was mind linking with the alpha as everything went silent.

"Introducing your luna!" shouted the alpha in excitement as we walked into the diningroom.

Everybody bowed down as I walked in and sat next to the alpha. Charles sat in the seat to my right.

The servants came in with platters full of different kinds of food which all smelled so good.

"Everybody eat and enjoy yourselves" said the alpha.

I just quietly sat there and didn't say anything or help myself to any food.

"Aren't you eating anything my dear?" asked the alpha. "You need to eat so your body can be healthy for our little boy" He said with an evil smirk on his face.

"I'm not very hungry alpha" I said quietly while looking away trying to avoid eye contact.

"Nonsense" he said as he grabbed a plate and started dishing up food for me.

He put the plate down infront of me and everything looked so tasty. There was mash, meatballs, pumpkin fritters, steak with gravy, fried vegetables, lamb fillet and rice.

I licked my lips and started drooling with the food infront of me.

"Thank you alpha" I said very politely.

"Call me Andrew, my dear" He said with a smile that sent shivers down my spine.

I shook it off and started eating very slowly, I didn't want all the other pack members to think that I was disgusting or rude.

"Good move princess" said Charles through our mind like.

"Thank you" I responded back while glimpsing in his direction.

Everybody wasn't even done eating yet when the servants brought out pudding. Chocolate cake, ice cream, malva pudding, custard and jelly were laid down on the table.

My eyes grew big as I saw all the puddings which looked so yummy.

"Help yourself my dear" said the alpha. To which I nodded and dished out pudding for myself.

The night seemed to go on for a long time. The alpha was talking about his plans to take over the east bank of the river and turn the surviving members of that pack into his servants. I listened but I didn't interact as I didn't want to draw attention to myself.

I just kept on eating, as if I was lost with the taste of the food.

"Thank you for coming to celebrate my luna" said the alpha as he greeted everybody as they were leaving. I stood beside him and waved politely at our guests.

The alpha turned to face me, his eyes flashed red and his breathing got heavier.

He then spoke up in a voice which sounded nothing other than evil: "tonight I officially make you mine my dear"...
