I just stood there, transfixed looking at Alessandro's face. It was clear that he wasn't done yet. And he did not indicate that he was upset with me in any way. I couldn't help but wonder what it would entail being his "pretend girlfriend." In this twisted relationship. Maybe, just maybe, he'll stop treating me like a piece of garbage and start treating me like a human. I pondered the idea in my head.
