"Natalia, it's good to see you," Richard murmured, kissing me on both cheeks.
I winced while attempting not to retreat. Alessandro would have been enraged. Good thing I was able to talk him out of coming with me. I had to take care of this on my own, face my past, and put an end to it.
"Mr Ryan, I have your money," I spoke hurriedly, heaving the bag his way. Except for Richard and myself, the cafe where I was meeting him was deserted. Although I had urged that we meet in a public location, I had a nagging suspicion that Richard had likely reserved the entire cafe.
"Sit down. What would you like to have ?" While ignoring the bag, Richard said.
"Nothing, I have to leave. Thanks for your help." He once more turned down the bag I gave.
He sighed and put his hand in his pocket.
