-HER- “You look like you just crawled out of the sewer,” Beth commented as soon as I entered the office. I rolled my eyes at her before saying a ‘thank you’.  “Also, you’re late. The clients are already here. They’re waiting with Boss,” She informed me. Her words almost gave me a heart attack.  Today we have an important meeting with some high-profile clients and I was late due to the damn rain. I did not dare look at the time because I knew that it would make me panic even more. Instead, I clutched my purse and ran towards the restroom. I almost screamed in horror when I looked myself in the mirror. I looked like a hot mess.  With a small towel, I tried to pat myself dry as much as it was possible. I fixed my hair and wiped the wet makeup away. I still looked like a hot mess but a bit toned down. Deciding to go with this look, I stepped out of the restroom and ran towards my cubicle. I received several judging looks from my coworkers but I ignored them because I did not have time. I could hear the time ticking away in my head.  I searched for the important papers that the clients needed and rushed towards the secretary’s room first. I was still lacking clearance and I knew it would make me even more late. I shouldn’t have gone into that gift shop. I had wasted so much time by having that weird woman read my hand. I mentally cursed myself. I could have saved time had I not gone there. “Oomph,” I crashed into a tall figure who just walked out of the secretary’s office. “Watch it,” I hissed as I rubbed my forehead. A low animalistic growl made my head snap to look up. I found two angry vibrant blue eyes glaring at me.  The eyes belonged to a bearded face that was framed with long dirty blond hair. I had seen him before. There was something menacing about the way he looked – tall and buff. He was wearing a well-tailored black suit. It made him look somewhat more intimidating.  I stepped back but not before throwing him a glare. He clenched his jaw before walking away. I shook my head and walked into the secretary’s office. “You’re late,” Priscilla, the secretary hissed at me. Her cat-like eyes swept over my body judgingly before a look of disgust climbed on her face. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at her. I was aware that I looked terrible. I didn’t have any other than to option to walk around the office looking like a sewer rat. I had forgotten to carry a fresh pair of clothes.  I already had enough reasons to hate myself, I didn’t need more. “Here are the papers from the previous owners. I forgot to get these verified last week,” A frown accompanied the pre-existing look of disgust on her face as she looked through the papers. “Are you serious,” She shook her head at me. I sighed. I was going to get into a lot of trouble today. All I could pray for was to not get fired. “The clients are already here,” she told me the same thing again. Suddenly, the realization dawned upon me.  It must be him. He didn’t seem very pleased. I think I have already managed to get on his wrong side. “Here you go. Don’t mess this up,” She said to me pointedly as I took the papers and rushed to the conference room. The passing employees told me the same thing again and again – ‘they’re waiting’.  The urgent look on their face made me more anxious and clumsier. I composed myself before opening the door to the conference room.  “She’s finally here,” the familiar voice of Mr. Toles announced before my eyes found the man I ran into previously. I instantly earned a glare from him. I had to contain myself from returning one to him.  I looked away from him before my eyes fixed on another figure sitting just beside him. His intense cold grey eyes made me halt for a moment before I turned my steps towards Mr. Toles.  I tore my eyes away from him and concentrated on walking without tripping. My heart drummed in my chest while my mind was trying to process what I just saw.  It was the weirdest thing. I wanted to look at him again to confirm if I really saw them on his head or if I was hallucinating.  I looked at Mr. Toles and other people who were in the room. They looked comfortable – as if they haven’t seen it.  “Here are the papers, Mr. Toles. I have talked to the previous owners. They are down for a negotiation,” I felt his eyes on me as I spoke to boss. They held so much intensity, I shivered. Mr. Toles nodded as he looked through the papers before he motioned for me to take the seat opposite him. As soon as I took my seat, my eyes found his grey ones again. I froze as I looked at the huge horns on his head. They were thick and wide before they curved up at the ends abruptly. They looked similar to a bull. Their tips were pointed and sharp. My eyes flickered back to his grey ones. They were still trained on me intensely. He looked somewhat similar to the man in whom I ran into previously. Both were tall and buff. Both had a beard and long hair, though his hair was black and tied back. The horns on his head were throwing me off. My stomach clenched as his eyes descended to my lips before further climbing down to my bosom and settling there for some moments. I squeezed my thigs and tried to concentrate on what Mr. Toles was saying.  I felt his eyes on me throughout the meeting. I leaned the man into whom I ran was Mr. Valter Tolentino. The other was being referred to as Mr. Vittori.  They were some high profile officials guys, looking for real estate. Our company was helping them get a good deal.  My heart thrashed in my chest the longer he continued to stare.  "Anna," I snapped out of the daze. I had been staring past Mr. Toles, pretending to hear him but I wasn't. The only thing that I was aware of was his eyes on me and the way my body reacted to it. "Mr. Toles," I sat up straight. "I believe you'll help Mr. Tolentino and Mr. Vittori make a good deal," This made my eyes snap to Mr. Vittori. His eyes were still trained on me. The intensity and possessiveness made my lower lips wet.  My core pulsed with need. I was feeling hot. I could feel the blood rush to my cheek. I had never felt so needy at work.  "Yes, Mr. Toles," I managed to answer as his eyes darkened on me. There was something about him that made me want to jump him.  I couldn't decide if it was due to his weird horns or his mouthwatering body. My eyes kept wandering to his thorns. I wanted to touch them and see if they were real.  It was the most absurd thing but it made me needier. I needed to touch myself sooner.
