"You'd need to go to the rich part of town for that," Becky said. Emily nodded seriously. She was collecting her coat and wallet, tying her hair into a braid. Becky had cut her hair, and seeing her mother do hers gave Becky a quick pang of regret. "Try not to spend all day stressing out," Emily said. "I won't," Becky said, even though she would. She had a little bit of time before LJ showed, and she was going to use that time to brew more coffee. And maybe eat another slice of toast. She was a little hungry. She made sure the door was locked after her mother left and she was alone in the ringing silence. "Coffee," Becky said out loud. She couldn't function without three cups in the morning.
