Chapter 8
Freddy Briar worked as a tutor. When he wasn't doing that, he moonlighted at the only bar in Rose Hollow, Midnight Comes. He didn't have to work. He was sitting on a wildly large trust fund, but Becky supposed that he did not know what to do if he was not working.
Becky and Eve stepped into the bar. It was just after opened and there were a few people sitting at the booths and at the bar. The owner of the bar, Monty, raised a hand in a wave.
"Haven't seen you in a while, Becky," Monty said.
"Sorry about that," Becky said
"Business or pleasure?" Monty asked, then he saw Eve and paused. Eve had that effect on people. Becky raised an eyebrow.
