"Growing up Zane and Lisa were always close, we were convinced they would turn out to be mates. When Lisa's uncle started to challenge her father for the the Alpha position he sent her and her mother to us, to keep safe. I promised him I'd take care of her like my own. He was killed and her uncle took over the pack, banning Lisa and her mother. So they stayed here and I looked after her as I promised her father. I was still convinced they would be mates and I wanted to avenge my friend. Thinking that if they mated we'd have a good reason to attack their old pack, in the name of returning it to the rightfull heir.. After his birthday Lisa and Zane were around each other all the time I was so happy, assuming they found out they were mates.. But
