Zane's Point of View
"Hi baby."
I stare at Shay, shocked. My gaze darting between her and the wolf. The wolf licks her, and she laughs, scratching it behind one of its ears. I take a step forward and the wolf's eyes snap towards me. A pair of familiar eyes, stare up at me and roots me to my place
"Zayde?"
I whisper shocked, when I recognize the wolf, his scent reaching me through the smell of blood hanging around him.
"I don't know what is going on, how you got here, or why you are here, and we will have a really long talk about this when we get home. But thank you for saving me."
As she speaks, his gaze moves from me to her, and he snuggles his head into her hand.
I quickly close the distance between us. Sinking down onto my knees next to Shay. Her gaze moves from the wolf to me,
