Zayde's Point of View
"Adam?"
I ask, with a shaky voice, and he smiles at me as he nods.
"Yes, it's me. And Emmet is here too."
I turn my head to look behind me and I see the man that tried to grab me is indeed Emmet. He smiles and waves at me and I turn back to Adam. The smell I smelled earlier hits me again as I look at Adam.
"I smelt you earlier."
Adam frowns at me.
"What do you mean?"
"Earlier in the woods. I smelled something. I couldn't remember what the smell was, but I remember now. It was you. Why are you here?"
"Your parents sent us here to come and find you. Your dad is on his way here right now, to come take you home."
A sob rips out of me as I launch myself at him, knocking him off his feet.
"I was so scared."
Adam hugs me tightly for a second before pulling back
