Zane's Point of View
With a lot of protest, I drop Zayde off at the packhouse before Ryan, Jake and I make our way to the border.
"Did they happen to mention why they are here? And who did they send?"
I ask, looking at Ryan in the rear view mirror and he shakes his head.
"I have no idea who he is. He just announced that they were from the council and then demanded to speak to you and for permission to enter our land. I assumed it had something to do with Jake's phone call."
"So he couldn't even be bothered to say who he was or why he came? Did he bring warriors with him?"
"I guess so, he was being an asshole and trying to pull rank with the warriors at the border, so they linked me to come help. He tried the same with me. And regarding warriors. Well, I wouldn't say that exactly...
