The recruitment's working. Better than expected. Three weeks and we've gone from twenty-five wolves to forty wolves. Not army. But growing force.
I'm reviewing numbers with Tom when he reports the successes.
"Theft operation's funding supplies. We're pulling in about five hundred pounds weekly. Enough to buy food, medical equipment, basic necessities." Tom shows me the accounts. "Fae contacts are helping. Teaching proper techniques. We're professionals now. Not desperate amateurs."
"Good. What about media contacts?"
"Three journalists are interested. I've been feeding them stories about Rookeries poverty. About wolves dying from silver poisoning. About children being abandoned." Tom hands me
