As the competition neared so did my excitement about seeing Clara again. Elsa was still acting odd and it was giving me a bad feeling but for now I wanted my father to continue thinking I was warming to him and firing someone he’d recommended wouldn’t do that.
As I settled into my lorry the night before the competition my mind was still racing about everything other than the horses! Should I just try and blackmail my father now? It would speed up me and Clara being able to be together again… but it could backfire… but then what if the code breaker didn’t find anything incriminating? We’d be back to square zero!
