Meeting Part 2

After introducing that Lucai found his mate, Alpha Sean also announced that he would be turning over the pack to his son soon.

Everyone cheered and whooped even more, but all that was going on Seb felt that something was off, something didn't feel right about the announcement his father made concerning him. Especially the fact that he didn't discuss this with either of them, he said nothing at all. Being surprise was far from his mind, just the sudden urgency that racked through his body to speak with his father.

The cheering and excitement died down a bit and every one just talked and mingled with each other. Jord, Jake, Jason, Sen and Lucai all stood talking and drinking. The 3 Js all joking and teasing Luc about finding his mate and not being able to party and wild like they use to. You know typical boy stuff. Seb, however, was lost in thought. He was thinking about his father actions all day. Scanning the campfire, his parents were nowhere in sight. He clapped his brother on the back and pulled him in for a man hug, whilst congratulating him on him finding his mate. He excused him self after, in search of his parents.

Rogue Guard #3 POV

I saw the eldest Alpha exist the party, he looked lost in thought. He hurried into the pack house entering from the back door. He left his brother and three friends looking after him.

Continuing to scout out the pack, I realised they are huge in number, contradicting to what Alpha said, but he should have expected them to grow over the years. I'm still confident that when the time comes we will be able to take them tho. I continued to observe for a little more before I made my exist, didn't want to get caught that would definitely ruine Alpha's plan and I'd be f****d. I turned around, giving one last look and sprinted off to rendezvous with my Alpha.

Alpha Seans Pov

"Simone, what kind of game is the Goddess playing with us, by mating Lucai with Silver Moons here's daughter. I mean we all have grown apart over the years after what happened. None of us spoke to each other Simone". I sighed rubbing my head, to release some tension.

"Maybe it's because we knew we could have handled the situation better, My Alpha or maybe it's just down right guilt of what happened to the friendship you three shared", she said.

I was about to answer when the door and burst open, as my son strode in closing the door and without a second glance he asked " The guilt of what friendship and with who, mother? And dad I think there is something wrong with what you told me today. The story is, what you would say watered down".

He swirled his drink in his hand and to a casual sip while still looking calm and intimidating at the same time.

I couldn't help but think he will be a great Alpha. I sat there still in thought, knowing I would now have to tell him the truth and not the "watered down" version he knew I gave him.

A secret about three friends, one becoming an enemy and the other two growing apart in what could be resentment about what happened to the friendship between us three.

I looked at my son, while the images and memory replayed in my mind. My son cleared his throat bring me from my thoughts. I got up a d poured myself a drink. A strong one too, I needed it.

Seb POV

After my dad poured his whiskey he started the truth. Explaining me that he and Alpha Jacobs and a man named Bane were best friends, young wolves that grew together. Both packs were once joined. They were warriors in the pack and strong warriors at that. They would go on special missions for the pack and whilst they were on pack grounds the protected the Alpha and Luna. It turned out that the old Alpha's mate died during child's birth and so did the baby and he did not take it well. He was lost without his other half and he became cruel towards everyone in the pack. He drank him self to a stupor, he lost more of himself as time passed.

I sat listening intently, pouring myself another glass, as the one I had was now empty. My mother sat there encouragingly giving my father strength and support that he needed.

Continuing his story, the Alpha was a wreck always drunk, neglectful , cruel and getting weaker by the day. His beta couldn't manage and got tired of his ways, he packed his wife up and they left to return to her pack.

He said that seeing that they were always around the Alpha the people began to put their trust in them. Some were impartial to Bane because he was sometime rude and did cruel things but he was still our friend. He believed in ranks and social hierarchy.

The Alpha realised that he was looking his pack to us. So he challenged us, by right you could only challenge one person at a time , but because he was of Alpha blood he thought he could take us all. Eliminate the threats was what he said. He did hold his own against us for awhile before we over powered him.

All three of us couldn't be Alpha, so the elders intervened. They were going to name just one of us but the people protested, choosing who the felt needed to lead. The elders decided to split the pack then. A vote was cast and half choose me and the other choose Alpha Jacobs. Bane had a few vote but nothing substantial. Long story short he did not want to settle for a lower title he felt that he needed to lead also. We didn't protest against the ruling and our friend left declaring himself rogue. Those who were loyal to him, the little that chose him left also.

When my father was finished I downed the rest of my drink and got up, before leaving I turned to my mom asking her to call Silver Moon to have a meeting hopefully tomorrow to discuss Lucai and the betas daughter and also, hopefully what dad jus told me. I didn't say that part though. I left right after cause this was a lot to swallow. I did however feel uneasy about my dad's other friend going rogue so easily. He seemed to be power thirsty, but what my dad and Alpha Jacobs did was a little unfair they should had fought each other for the title, not to the death though. They second and third place could fill beta and gamma. What's done is done any way, now I need to sleep cause it would be a long day tomorrow and I would also need to fill Lucai in on this. It was still early in the night but I was mentally drained. So I turned in.
