Dean’s POV
“Well, now you’ve done it.”
Staci throws her arms up in the air and then places them accusingly on her hips as she turns to glare at both Alpha Alec and me in turn.
“Happy with yourselves?”
Alpha Alec glares at her with narrowed eyes and I glare at him before moving towards Kylie’s small and extremely frail looking body, lying passed out in the sand pit.
Just as I bend over her, Alpha Alec steps up beside me.
“I got her.”
“Like hell you do.”
I lean over her protectively and stare at him in a challenge.
His eyes swirl blue and black as he clenches his fists at his side.
“This is your fault that this happened. If you hadn't barged in like you did.”
I can feel my wolf stirring restlessly as his words get under my skin.
