Jay's Love...

Episode 14 : Harassing and Teasing

I bought hot tea for him and went to the car again. He has reclined his seat while was resting with one hand on his forehead. I reduced the air-conditioner ask him to drink the hot tea. He sat back in a normal position took the hot tea and drank it. "How are you feeling Jay?" He smiled and nodded okay. "You want to take a nap first?" He shook off his head and ask me to fasten my seat belt. He is not talking and I am worried plus what happened to Rose. I didn't ask him what happen to Rose I don't think so now will be good timing. Let him relax first maybe while we are going back I will ask him. He pressed his accelerator to increase the speed and drove the car like a crazy man. I was praying and calling all the Gods I know in my heart. I still want to live a long life, please keep me safe. I need to keep him relax. I took his left hand which was on his thigh and started to massage slowly. Each finger by each finger, he looked at me. I was smiling and looked at him as though nothing happened between us.

"You are not angry with me?"

I was surprised when he asked me that, "Why I want to be angry with you?"

"I almost molest you just now."

"Hahaha! Did you do that intentionally?"

"No of course not, I was confused and sad."

"Exactly! I understand why you behave like that, so I am not angry at you. Just forget it and let's discuss it some other time when you are ready to talk again."

He twisted his hand to catch my hand and bring it to his mouth to kiss it and said "Thank you".

I told him "You know what I will cut and give you my hand, you keep it for yourself." He laughed non-stop. Huh! At last, I managed to change his mood. Now I am a bit relieved. He really makes me scared just now. I felt very tired and sleepy, I wanted to take a nap for a while. "I am going to take a short nap, give me half an hour okay!" "Can but before that give me a peck" My face becomes hot and I feel so shy. This guy doesn't feel shame at all. "Faster! Faster!" "It's okay I am not sleepy". He keeps on laughing and teasing me. I was like whatever!!! He was turning and twisting my hand, I really felt pity for my right hand. 

The total journey X city to my hometown is about 4 hours plus. We will be reaching in an hour's time. My dad called me and was checking where I am. "Your dad is very concerned about you." "Yes, most of the time." 

"Vanda told me that you are a divorcee, what happened?" 

"Very simple, we loved about a year plus, after I registered with him only I found out that he was a playboy and he will not change even after marriage. Even then after he went overseas due to work, I waited for him for 2 years but he came with a wife and daughter. So I have no choice I have to divorce him. That's all."

He squeezed my hand and looked at me, I pretend nothing has happened. I know it happened very long ago but every time when I think or discuss this matter I will still feel the pain somewhere in my heart. I will feel the wound has opened up but I will manage it. Maybe our closure was not a mutual one. We didn't discuss the divorce and it just happened, we didn't do it in a proper way. I was checking my time, we almost arrive. He kissed my hand again and again. It makes me feel sad and the tears are at the corner of my eyes. I simply turned my head to my left and watching all the trees on the roadside. I can see the light at each row of the palm trees. The light looks like hope in my heart. 

"Hey! Are you fine?"

"Yes, I am! I am used to it ready, it happens 19 years ago." I know deep in my heart it didn't change a bit also. After all, it was my first love and first official marriage even we didn't do it traditionally. Just let bygones be bygones.

"I think we have almost reached, this is the last exit for your hometown." 

I replied "Yes! What do you like to eat here? Do you want to try char kway teaw? These are hawker food and they prepare the traditional way, still using the charcoal stove to prepare the food."

"I trust you so can." 

"Hahahaha don't worry you are in good hands" 

"Yes, I can see that" he showed my hand which he was holding. 

"Look for parking," and we managed to get one in front. We get out of the car and walked about 50 meters. He still didn't let go of my hand. 

We managed to get a table of 2. I ordered a plate of char kway teaw, my ever favorite dish chicken satay 10 sticks, and a steamed chicken pau. Jay loves to eat chicken too, so anything with chicken can be finished. We shared the food and he enjoyed it too. I have texted my eldest sister Kira whether needs to pack any food or not? Normally at this timing, they will love to eat red bean pau and kaya pau. So I packed some kaya and red bean stuffed pau for my family members. I told Jay to get 1 or 2 in case he felt hungry in the middle of the night. The place he booked is like a resort with no restaurants nearby or any other food stalls but 10 minutes to my home. We packed everything we need and went to our car. I asked him, do you want to get some beer cans?
