I took Emily by her hand as we walked back to the pack house in Shadowfangs. I promised her I wouldn’t say a thing about what she told me to her father and I’d figure out a way to get her into my pack seamlessly with her mother. I sent a text to Jonathan to inform him about what was going on and that I'd give him a call in a few minutes. We got to the pack house and I handed Emily over to her big sister.
“You know you are all she has now, right?” I said to her elder sister. Who took Emily’s hand calmly with a quick nod. She had a neutral face—it was void of emotions, but I knew she was sad too.
