"Silver bullets?" I asked Dominic, my voice trembling as I pressed my back against the cold wall. The scene before us was a nightmare made real. Dominic knelt beside the lifeless body, his face etched with horror as he gently closed the man's eyes. "I bet you didn't see that coming, Dominic." The masked man's voice cut through the silence like a blade, sending ice through my veins. "You should have come alone, Lila. Why did you have to bring everyone here to die?" The thought of everyone dying because of me made my whole body shake. Dominic remained frozen beside his fallen warrior, lost in grief and shock.
