She stared at his chocolate brown eyes which were overflowing with countless emotions but the sadness in them was crystal clear. Their eyes were locked while Ivan continued to caress her cheek and unknowingly she too leaned in his soft and comforting touch.
"I love you." He whispered, breaking her trance. She lowered her eyes and took a step back. She didn't know what havoc was going inside her. Ivan was hurt with her action but he just smiled faintly. He slowly withdrew his hand from her waist and from her cheek.
